BgChsr35 Posted August 15, 2020 Report Posted August 15, 2020 (edited) I have to admit i do love this site. Stories are great, ive talked to a lot of ppl with similar interests so i know im not alone. But i do have to say the moderator(s) are way to damn harsh. I have made a few mistakes ill be the first to admit it. Posted wrong topic wrong forum. Most the time i blame the vodka and me simply not paying attention. But a month banned and 15 days without being able to comment. Now your just being a dick. Calm down guys there has to be better ways to handle things. Hope this was right forum for this topic. Dont want to banned again. Edited August 15, 2020 by BgChsr35 Addition 1
ErosWired Posted August 15, 2020 Report Posted August 15, 2020 I’m not a mod here, but I mod a site elsewhere and the measures taken by the moderating staff on BreedingZone are both reasonable and necessary for a site of this nature with this level of traffic. First of all, a site like this draws men to express aspects of the underbelly of human nature, and some of it can get fairly vile, depending on your point of view. Not every guy who’s comfortable talking about such things is a nice guy, or civil, or even knows how to be, or even gives a shit. If left to express anything they want in any way they want, this place would become an obscene, filth-covered, flame-riddled, hatemongering cesspool In short order. Second, these forums aren’t just a collection of reader porn - they’re also a place for an exchange if information and opinion. Serious, insightful discussion even sometimes occurs(!) when the horndogs take a break to go off into the corner to fap. It’s hard enough to separate the truth from the fiction as it is, and if the mods didn’t keep some tight order on the place it would just become a scrambled mess. But the real reason tight moderation is important here is so that we can still have a place where we can talk about something like fucking other men up the ass bare on the open internet with the kind of freedom we have. There are laws in place like FOSTA/SESTA, and more and worse threats pressing all the time, that have the ability to imprison or bankrupt site owners like RawTOP If certain things are allowed to happen on their sites. They have to bleep out certain words ban topicsso the authorities don’t charge them with allowing the trafficking of human beings, or of under aged persons, even though no such thing may be happening. They have to ensure that fictional stories about certain practices cannot be mistaken for real accounts, because while fantasy may be legal, the reality is not. I’m sorry if you put your foot in it and got a time out - now you know what not to do, right? (Another hint, which is good pretty much anywhere on the Net: Don’t Tell The Mods They’re Being A Dick.) They’re doing what they have to to make sure we have this place. We’re glad you’re here, and looking forward to all the smutty things to have to tell us, so suck it up, Buttercup, and be a good bad boy. 😘
BgChsr35 Posted August 15, 2020 Author Report Posted August 15, 2020 I get what your saying but it would seem to me to be more beneficial to keep up traffic. If i got a email or ANYTHING saying hey man your posting topics in the wrong place...link to said rules. Delete or have me move my post so a REAL lesson could be learned. Not banning me for ridiculous amounts of time. I doubt it takes them any longer to be a little more helpful and more adult when someone makes mistakes. Also in my opinion if it seems someone is being dickish i will call them a dick. If it hurts their feelings ilk get them a tissue. Its what i do. I was banned because i was answering some comments on a few posts i made and swapped the responses in the wrong ones. But surprise surprise. I get its the rules and i do what i can to follow them but as a human i will occasionally make a mistake. Not trying argue but simply expressing my opinion on something i find faulty. But see now a discussion is forming and who knows maybe it will help. Not to make this any longer but what really pissed me off was i missed out on a few opportunities to meet some really nice people because they thought id flaked. It put a little twist in my shorts.
BgChsr35 Posted August 15, 2020 Author Report Posted August 15, 2020 Also i get that there are some people that would blow off a message like i was talking about and not everyone would go back to read the rules. But for one took me over a month before i could even see what my mistakes were. Two i have reread the rules and saw what my mistakes were. I did that in one day.....what. Crazy!
BootmanLA Posted August 16, 2020 Report Posted August 16, 2020 It's up to you if you want to call a moderator a name, but that's the fastest way I know, on almost any website (adult or not, general interest or specialized), to get yourself banned permanently. Moderators are volunteers, on most sites, and at most they may get free "premium" access on sites that charge for higher levels of service. This site is free, so they aren't even getting that. They're hard to recruit and give of their free time to help improve the site, and site owners do not appreciate having their staff publicly denigrated. If you have a problem with the action taken by a particular moderator, by all means message the site owner and ask for an appeal. (I will say this - when a member is under a ban here, they can't message the site owner, and there's no easily visible way to reach him OTHER than by message here, so it's hard to appeal a lengthy ban on a timely basis. Perhaps some thought could be given to outlining an official appeals process that works OUTSIDE the regular member message system, so that a banned member can appeal and perhaps get his suspension shortened or lifted.) I've had disagreements with moderators before, including here, but it needs to be handled behind the scenes instead of publicly on the message boards. Even when I vehemently disagree with my treatment compared with other members, for instance, I see no reason to make that a public spectacle. 1
Slamuel Posted August 16, 2020 Report Posted August 16, 2020 @BgChsr35 managed to get another warning for trolling this mod on another thread so won’t be commenting on this one for a while. For the record, his lengthy ban is because he made multiple infractions over a number of months, and warnings get points which act cumulatively, hence more infractions = longer ban even for a minor one.
