It's between Chelsea and Hell's Kitchen (the Theater District) and if you time things right you can get the guys who are going home after work since it's a big transportation hub for people who live in NJ. I've been to some gangbangs in the New Yorker. But realize a lot of the hotels don't just let people walk in - at a certain time they start checking that people are guests or make the guest come down for the person.
