I love Trimix, but will echo the part about correct dose. I don't fuck often but it will give me a nice erection for about 2.5  to 3hrs. If it's going toward 3hrs, I pop some sudafed as directed by my urologist. Please go to a urologist, they will work with you on correct dosage. What works for one doesn't work for another. 

I know too many people who have gotten it an event, as in not professionally prescribed, that ended up in the hospital.

They have to drain your cock of blood. It isn't a pleasant experience.

Any idea how quickly the antidote works after 4 hours of a continuous erection (or if you give yourself the antidote antidote before the 4 hour mark)? Also is the antidote just a pill?

Some guys use large doses of Benadryl With varying degrees of luck.  
The antidote my Dr gave me is an injection. It’s specifically designed as an antidote.

I ONE MILLION percent agree. Being “older” I can confirm nothing puts the sails up like Trimex. But the potential risks scare the crap out of me. I went to the emergency room with someone once. I saw what they do. 
Viagra and the like are great but they have their issues as well. Remember it is not recommended you use “poppers” when taking medications like Viagra due to health risks. The original clinical trials were not for this indication after all 
So weighing my options/ Vers risk I think it is more a case by case basis. 
And yes, always consult a physician before starting any new medication. Btw- what they did with me to determine what dose the trimex should  be with the hot PA, oh yeah. Definitely check with one first!!
