I don't distinguish those words on that basis. When/if I distinguish them, I use "slut" for those who are merely promiscuous, and "whore" for those who are compensated for sex work - though I try to avoid that because of the negative connotations it gives sex work. In English, at least here in the US, one never talks about "hiring a slut" but we do talk about "paying a whore". 10 hours ago, BareLover666 said: If you want an honest and adult relationship, I don't believe in someone 'slipping up'. What did that partner do: Tripped, fell and accidentally landed with his cock in someone's butt / accidentally landed with his ass on someone's cock / fill in own sexual postition or kink? By "slipping up" I mean people who do not set out to have sex outside the relationship, but end up, in a particular situation, doing that. As in: your partner's out of town, you're at an event where you meet someone who is very clearly into you, you've had a bit (too much) to drink, your inhibitions are down, and a casual kiss (which may be permissible for your relationship) accelerates into groping (which is marginal) and then outright oral (which is definitely over the line). That's just one example, but it highlights the key difference: you didn't set out to cheat, you hadn't identified this guy as someone you'd want to break your relationship rules with, but...in the moment, it happened. Or, as another example: you and your partner are in a rough spot - he's working lots of overtime because of a demanding boss, your work schedule doesn't overlap his very much, and you haven't had sex in weeks. You're out at a bar on your own because he's once again working (or asleep because he's exhausted), you're craving human touch, and you run into an old fling who gets very flirty - and you decide, on the spur of the moment, fuck it and go home with him. Yes, ultimately, you made the decision (under whatever circumstances) to do this. But it was an impulse, not a plan; it's like the difference between setting out to the grocery store intent on buying a dozen donuts despite knowing you should control your sugar intake, and being at the grocery store already for food and spotting the donut display and giving in to the impulse to buy a box. I think that intent matters, at least to some degree, and ought to be taken into consideration when deciding what to do after an episode of cheating. 1
Guest Posted April 3, 2022 Report Posted April 3, 2022 Thanks. 2 hours ago, BootmanLA said: I think that intent matters, at least to some degree, and ought to be taken into consideration when deciding what to do after an episode of cheating. I think I get that. And doesn't it all come to down communication and honesty which are perhaps much broader subjects than monogamy vs. so called 'open relationships' and cheating with intend vs. slipping up? Those things you clarify are the things someone and their partner(s) should be clear about to each-other. And I think that 'slut' has a a negative ring to it, unless used in jest in a teasing sort of way. Your use of the word 'promiscuous' to me sounds more factual. Is that true for someone like yourself whose first language is American-English?

"Promiscuous" is rather like "homosexual" - factually correct but cold and clinical, and not something people use in everyday speech.

Cheating has never been easier, and if you think most taken guys don’t look for no-strings-attached fun at some point when their boyfriends are out of town, you’re lying to yourself. So fuck yeah, go for it. Embrace being a dirty little whore and don’t look back. Your bf doesn’t need to know and his loss anyway for being a prude AND not seeing the writing on the wall. And if you’re going to cheat, you better fucking be doing it bareback. Wear a rubber with your bf if you want, idgaf, but cheating sluts must take raw loads from everyone else. There’s nothing that gets me off harder than making another guy’s bf my little bitch boy and hearing him tell me how much bigger and better my cock is. I’m at the point where I almost exclusively look for guys with boyfriends. More gay couples are getting into cuckolding, which is great for me and can be a lot of fun, but I definitely prefer the guilty pleasure of cheating and the thrill of the [banned word] and risking getting caught. If a guy just wants a little fun on the side, but to be discrete and keep it hush, fine by me. But I’m a troublemaker and love pushing the envelope, so I have no issue risking your beau coming home earlier than you thought or snooping through your texts. I’ve had it happen before and I don’t doubt it could happen again. I agree 💯! Any hot twink breedings lately? 1
