Those of you who completely reject fuck partners if they want to use condoms, must live in areas where you have a lot more potential partners than I do where I live. Very few guys at the bathhouse, ABS or any cruising spot will even entertain the idea of fucking and will often get mad when you suggest it, even after an extended period of foreplay or multiple no fuck hookups. Also a huge percentage of the app profiles do not list fucking as one of the activities they are into so a majority of them completely omit the condom/safe sex information, at least 99% list cuddling, maybe 50% list sucking as an activity they are into, and it is probably being optimistic if 10% list fucking. While condom usage at the bathhouses has gone down here, it is far from unheard of and we still have a few guys still insisting even for oral sex (I will no longer suck a condom covered cock, but will sometimes let them suck mine if I think they might be willing to fuck or get fucked). Personally I would rather put up with a condom when I fuck or get fucked rather than not fuck at all.

I am lucky where I live I guess.  In the area around Toronto, there are lots of profiles on BBRT, majority of the tops/vers tops on squirt list bareback in their interests and most guys on sniffies seem to be up for bareback.   As far as the bathhouses go, I hardly ever see anyone using condoms when I go.

Sounds about right. I'm in the God's-Waiting-Room side of Florida, and even there I find a significant number of guys who are up for bareback. More if you go closer to Tampa or the Giant Rat.

Ironically I routinely call A4A Christian Mingle for gays here, it feels like every profile is looking for a romantic relationship with absolutely no sexual information, it is the only hookup app I've ever been banned from, and believe my ban was from responding to local profiles with overt questions and answers about sexual preferences. Doublelist is another interesting one locally, it is all about finding buddies to get high and hang out usually with at least a blip saying nothing sexual included. I have used both BBRT and Sniffies fairly extensively and successfully when I travel,  but they have become virtual ghost towns here, and what little activity that is posted on them looking for cuddle buddies. 

Luckily I travel frequently, if I didn't I don't think I could have endured living here. It isn't just Portland, it is the US PNW and West Coast Canada that is afflicted with this gay cultural phenomenon. I find that to be true across most of the places I've frequently traveled to for work. The exceptions are Vancouver, Seattle and Portland. There isn't much fucking at all, and still more condom usage than I've seen anywhere else. Ironically the entire region has a high percentage of the population that self identifies as gay, but it does not translate to an active casual sex scene.

The more you know. Thanks for clarifying. I'd have thought the combination of a more liberal climate and a decent gay scene would have made a fertile field (pardon the pun) for bathhouses that are not fuck free zones. East Coast, there's a lot of activity on Sniffies and most people looking also host with more bare backers by me than not.
