i think the confusion comes with how fads and/or contexts plays a role.

I take a look at some of the pictures of asses that have been fisted and I wonder how some of these guys are doing as they age.  I mean the photos alone are enough to make me cringe, I can't imagine how their ass must feel.  I am not a prude, I don't judge, it's just not for me.  I see DP action in a lot of porn, and yeah, I have been involved in that.  Even with that, you have to include the right guys who have the right dicks, and who know what they are doing.

Fisting to me, it doesn't even seem sexual.  I have noticed many of the fisting bottoms are almost obsessed with doing that, they no longer find a dick that satisfies them.  It's not my thing, I just hope that as they age their bodies don't let them down and the suffer in pain and discomfort.

I don't think you can ever keep kinks down. I started fisting in the mid 90s when AIDS was still raging in SF (I moved there in 1995) and I knew people who were really sick (sometimes the meds didn't work for people). We just used gloves. When people discovered Nitrile gloves (as opposed to latex) that was a huge game changer. 🙂

It never occurred to me that fisting was "unsafe." Even when someone got a little pink.

I do think you're right that kinks tend to come and go in popularity, but now the internet has made it easy for people to find others with similar kinks, even really niche ones like pony play or scat.

There are some not pretty pictures out there, but I’ve loved fisting for 40+ years. My husband was very Dom and got me started. The thing is, I’m not gaped and I usually start tight to the point where guys ask if I’ve really been fisted before.
