Loveitraw Posted July 8 Report Share Posted July 8 Sorry to be that guy but sperm cells are motile gametes, that is specialised cells with a specific purpose. Not technically alive at all. Yes they move but once they run out of energy that's it they cease to function, they cannot recharge, they cannot replicate. In a decent medium they can run for a couple of days. They can be frozen, thawed and restarted so long as this happens quickly after production.
