hntnhole Posted July 21 Report Posted July 21 A man who has served his Country in public service for decades. A man who can accept that his physically his body is failing him, and puts the welfare of the Nation before his own pressing urge to continue his service to the United States. Joe Biden, our President, the consummate Humanist, deserves to be honored, respected, celebrated and held in the highest esteem both now, as he steps down from his office, and by future generations. He has advanced the citizenry of the United States with tremendous accomplishments by service first to his State, then as Vice President, and finally President, and unfailingly working to advance the rights of the downtrodden, the underprivileged, those who society has ignored since the founding of this Nation. His gifts to the Nation have been nearly uncountable through the decades, and now his final gift to the country he loves has now been given, and we all know how difficult that decision has been for him. Whatever one's personal political beliefs are, lets not let petty notions allow us to denigrate this truly good and decent man. May he find peace as we, the citizens, move on. 3
nanana Posted July 22 Report Posted July 22 He's the same guy who tried to criminalize harm reduction for gay raves 20 years ago, making it illegal for people to try to help people who were overdosing, and making it illegal to promote raves if drugs were found to be on premises, even if the hosts were taking active measures to prevent drug use. Not my idea of a hero. 1

Not my idea of a hero. Yes one can spin it that way. But that distorts his objective even in that case. 1
