Everything a judge strikes down in the lower courts will be moved up to the SCOTUS, and guess whose pocket those corrupt pieces of shit are in? 2 2

The US will be thrown back to the 80's or so within another week and over the next 1440 days or so the US will be driven back to the 50's and possibly earlier wrt legalized and aggressive discrimination. Wrt to authoritarianism itself, this will be fully a society terrorized by the worst kind of Het Bros. It is possible that this will result in an actual civil war. 1

My marriage is going to become unrecognized. Its already moving to the Supreme Court. They will begin targeting homosexuals in other ways. Grindr, scruff, onlyfans, everything. Giving up here, while it seems like the way to just put all this nonsense aside, isn't going to work. While it appears to be a USA problem, in fact this is a global situation. Running away an hiding won't solve a thing. I've sworn an oath now multiple times in my now long life. To say "fuck it I'll move to XYZ" may give short term comfort, history has shown over the millenia that it is not a solution to the problem. The USA in particular has layers of government. And that wasn't an accident. Several layers have been broken by Trump, Musk, a house and senate who have done their own "fuck it". But we do have courts SCOTUS notwithstanding, and we do have governors and state attorney generals. This is a really really bad time to declare "fuck it"... Unless you like what is happening.

I dont give af about what this country goes through now. Its just a hurricane of piss headed right in our direction.

Cheeto Hitler seized control over our government in exactly the same way as Vladimir Putin and Victor Orban. Russia and Hungary both lost their democracies in this manner through a bloodless coup. Only this really will shed blood because millions of people are going to die under Trumps disastrous policies. Now is the time to just prepare. Pull money out of your bank and keep it hidden somewhere in cash. Arm yourself. Stockpile essentials. Have a kit ready to get the fuck out immediately. Make sure your passport is up to date. Also a broken clock is right twice a day. So there’s hope for what comes next from either perspective. The people wanted something different from the usual corrupt political industrial complex and now they have it. It may be the exact thing that se need to get our shit together. If not then we can at least be comforted by the fact that in two years the tables will turn as they always do and we’ll have a political deadlock that will keep us from going over the brink of insanity. 1 1
