Can't sign up.

Hi, 

I signed up the other day and, upon submitting the form, it immediately redirected me to the sign in page. I tried to sign in and it said my details were incorrect.

I tried a password reset, nothing. 

I tried to sign up again, same issue.

I'm in the UK but I use a VPN with an IP in Europe - The Netherlands I think.

Sent in a contact form but haven't heard back yet.

Also if you’re having trouble you can ask an admin for help with this issue and rep repot post so they can see you need help

The contact form goes directly to the (one and only) site admin, @rawTOP. Because there's only one of him, and this is not his day job, it can take a while for him to deal with things.

Moderators will help where they can (in this case, we can't). Any new topic posted in the Tips and Tricks forum is automatically flagged so a moderator will definitely see it.

I signed up with my Hotmail account but it's been open and live for years, it's not like a newly registered one.

There are no registrations for "BBTopUK", so sign up again.

That said, the site software connects to an external service to determine if someone may cause problems and then denies them the ability to sign up. But typically there's an error message they did that you didn't mention, so I don't know what's happening in your case. (And for future reference - I never override the determination of the external service.)

It may be your email provider - some won't deliver BZ emails. I know we've had problems with Microsoft in the past (they own Hotmail), not sure about if they're still a problem.

Thank you. I just tried to sign up again with the same details and I'm getting:

'Oops! You are not permitted to register a user account with this site.'

I am using Opera with free VPN connected to Europe. I'll try without, connected to my mobile data. 

I don't really use the e-mail address much, just to order aromas and occasional Love Honey stuff, so can't see it being flagged as malicious in some way :-S.
