Roughme101 Posted February 23 Report Posted February 23 Chatting with a top near me n he gets tested reg for std but says he's HIV immune. Never heard of immune myself, thoughts or knowledge??
Falls727 Posted February 23 Report Posted February 23 I’ve only heard of one person having an immunity to HIV and that was a genetic anomaly. It would make more sense that he is on Prep, which would, in essence, make him “immune.”

I have never really been interested in studying this any further as he has never been properly discussed as a potential source of an actual cure, so my info is up for query. IF he does actually carry an immunity to the HIV virus, then PREP would not be necessary.
FelchingPisser Posted February 23 Report Posted February 23 From Wikipedia: "A small proportion of humans show partial or apparently complete innate resistance to HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. [1] The main mechanism is a mutation of the gene encoding CCR5, which acts as a co-receptor for HIV." My brother is one of them--and how he survived being an active gay man in NYC at the height of the crisis. I have never had the testing done to see if I carry it, too. The article: Innate resistance to HIV - Wikipedia 1 1
PozBearWI Posted February 23 Report Posted February 23 I am one of them as well. The mutation has two forms, homozygous and heterozygous. Homozygous has both receptors mutated, heterozygous has one of the two mutated. Those with homozygous CCR5 Delta32 mutation are essentially immune to HIV; and if infected it won't go far. Those of us with heterozygous mutation are resistant to HIV, and once infected are slow progressors. Note though, HIV is an interesting virus, so it doesn't follow a rule book in how it unfolds. 1
beanna Posted February 23 Report Posted February 23 Congratulations on your knowledge of genetics And HIV having no DNA only RNA evolution has designed it to Continually mutate in the search For new hosts and species in which to Procreate successfully But their also a balance to be struck in virility and tolerance 1
ffabbian Posted Sunday at 09:57 PM Report Posted Sunday at 09:57 PM This happened to me once. I didn't really believe him but I let him fuck me raw all weekend
Hungryforbbc Posted Sunday at 11:35 PM Report Posted Sunday at 11:35 PM Yeah so I have the genetic mutation that makes me highly resistant to retroviruses including HIV. I’ve been getting barebacked for almost 40 years and have been with dozens of guys who in hindsight were surely poz but didn’t get infected until last year. My doctor was as shocked as I was but the fact is that resistant doesn’t mean immune. There are some people who are even less susceptible and have a double dose of the same genetic mutation as me that are nearly impossible to get infected although the more rare strains seem to be more likely to make it past the resistance. I still haven’t gotten Covid but I managed to get HIV - although I wasn’t trying per se i certainly thought I was good to go without any concern about it after a lifetime of taking loads from at best questionable dick, I pressed my luck and got caught out there. Even at 99% effective, with condoms or prep or whatever else, there’s still that one percent chance. So if I took 1000 raw loads i should have anticipated that at least one would make it past my genetic resistance and I took that risk. I kinda feel like it was destiny but I did feel terrible having to tell the tops who’ve been breeding me to get checked. Fortunately all but one were on prep anyway but there was one who I had inadvertently potentially exposed who had to get tested etc and that wasn’t fun but worked out fine for him. anyway it’s a real thing and from my understanding it’s based on whether you’re the offspring of one (partial resistance) or two people (extremely high resistance) whose relatives survived actually having the plague due to the mutation and passed along the subsequent resistance. 1 1 1

I'm really glad I read this. It was the mid 80s the first time I got fucked and it was without a condom. I wasn't a chaser but I thought it was inevitable that I would get hiv with or without a condom and when I went for my first hiv test six months later after being fucked raw by 100 men my test came back negative. Every six months my tests results were negative until 1995 when I tested positive. I always wondered how I managed to stay negative after 1000 or more men fucked me raw 1
