I have a friend who says that once a guy starts doing bareback there is almost no going back. He also says that once a guy starts allowing guys to cum in him (and then absorbs that cum as opposed to pushing it out) that it changes him to want cum more and more with each load. I can arrest to both of those being true, at least, for me. He also believes that there is a chemical component in poz cum that, when absorbed, rewrites the bottom's DNA and creates the desire for more poz cum. This happens even if the bottom doesn't convert to HIV positive because the virus is simply opening him up to continued exposure until the inevitable finally happens. The theory is that the virus subtly rewrites the bottom's DNA to strongly desire it and this is how the virus ensures that the bottom will continue to take those loads until he too is converted. Once converted, the virus creates the desire to breed others to continue to pass the virus on. (Google "zombie ant fungus" to see how this occurs in nature.) In a way, this all makes perfect sense because the HIV virus, like every living thing, wants to live and propagate. I guess the lesson here is, if you want to remain HIV negative, don't start down this road but I'm guessing that it's probably too late for many of us here. Do you think there is any merit to this theory?

I think whether the bottom can feel when the top is pumping his load inside depends on a few things. If he fucks hard and is able to keep fucking while he's shooting his load inside then the bottom may only feel some warmth but wouldn't necessarily recognize it as him getting bred unless he's an experienced bottom who is familiar with how that feels. As far as the bottom recognizing after the fact that he took a load depends on how deep the top pumped the load in. If he can get his dick head past the inner sphincter and shoots his load in there and pulls out slowly enough that the inner sphincter closes as the dick is extracted then that load is not going to drip out anytime soon. That's how I like to get bred. -

I've seen plenty of neg4neg guys who were last tested a year or more ago. If any of those guys are sexually active, but have not tested in over a year, there's a chance they could be positive or have been exposed to any number of STIs. I'm their minds neg4neg might seem safer but there is no guarantee on that.

I started barebacking a few years ago and started on prep shortly after that. I tried for about 6 weeks to adjust to prep (Truvada) but had too many symptoms to make it work. The headaches, diarrhea, upset stomach and general fatigue was too much. I tried Descovy; even though the side-effects were not at prevalent I still couldn't tolerate the medicine. There's no way I could feel horny when I had a constant headache and felt like I might throw up at any minute. I was told that the injection might be the way to go but I've been hesitant to give that a try because I'm afraid that I'd have a reaction and there wouldn't be anything to stop the side-effects until the dosage tapered off. I'm also unsure my health insurance will cover it since it is still considered new and does not have a generic alternative available (something my health insurance seems to require). So, after all of that, I decided that I would just play with guys who I was relatively sure weren't going to infect me. I know, there is no absolute way to be sure someone is not harboring an STI but I thought I'd at least give that a go. Recently I met with a couple that are undetectable and took their loads. I think taking their undetectable loads awakened a hunger in me so I have started playing with guys and not asking about their status. Now I'm not sure why but I want to try getting fucked and taking a poz load just to see what it's like. I know the chance of getting infected the first or second time out is very low so I feel like I need to try this. My question is, should I at least try to get the prep injection before I take a known poz load. In the matter of a few years I have gone from a safe sex advocate to a "safe" barebacker, then to taking undetectable and unknown loads to now wanting to try poz loads. I might be a chaser at this point who just hasn't admitted it to himself. Thoughts?

Most pharmacies sell a rapid HIV test. They cost about $50 or less.

I guess I was pretty naive because I did not know that Vaseline would make a condom fail. My buddy must have known that because the first few times he fucked me.
