I use NordVPN - it's good value for money and you can set your egress point to be in most cities in the world. I used the guide to VPN's that's in Wikipedia and rates them for privacy - Nord were pretty well rated and had a good offer if you bought 2 years up front, so I chose them, and have been using them for years. They also have specialist egress points for peer-to-peer torrent based file sharing apps as well as TOR. If anyone wants a referral code, send me a DM. As noted, when travelling abroad, BBC/ITV/etc sometimes won't work on one egress point, but Nord have loads in the UK, so pick another and I usually find one that works.

Speaking as someone who identifies as a "vers/btm" I will say that my default position is btm - but as the years go by competition is more and more intense. It's probably down to the local authority issuing the license, how closely they monitor things, and how often the venue pops up on their radar with incidents like ambulance callouts, complaints from locals, etc.

I am aware of bar and door staff that were fired after fraternising with customers during their shift at venues in London. One venue I know has a policy of barring for life staff that are fired for misconduct. I imagine it is a legal thing where a venue with an adult encounter license might be accused of breaking the terms of the license and even running a brothel if they charge an entry fee and then allow staff 'engage' with customers. When you think about it, as an employer it'd be a legal minefield to permit staff to engage with customers in that way - liability, insurance, safeguarding, all sorts of things come to mind.

Yeah - I have to admit from the west (Marylebone) it was a trek, and Jubilee line to North Greenwich was packed like sardines. I've been to a few CumUnion events in the UK in the last couple of years. I haven't been to Torquay, but I did do Sheffield and Northwich. I went along to this for the first time. I haven't been to the LC before and things seemed to align - a cheap hotel room nearby (Zedwell) - and a party that people have recommended. If you've not been to the LC then it's a similar deal to Bunker or Underground Club, but larger, cleaner and better maintained. There's a bar and bathrooms on the ground floor, and stairs down to the basement - which looked to be to be about 2.5x bigger.
