In America, food is a significant factor, as is medication. American foods and drinks filled with preservatives and fake sugars are hard on all human bodies, with and without HIV. I stopped eating Organic because in America, you can buy the right to have the organic label even if not organic. No control on that label. Eating healthy helps a lot for all. When I got off all sodas and diet drinks, I lost 60 lbs. I was walking 40 miles a week and hitting the gym. My job had me walking a lot. Stopping all Fast food, I lost 60 lbs all within 5 months. Yes, my BMI was way out of whack. I thought it was a way of life and my genetics, as one doctor told me. No, it's America's crap foods and drinks. Losing 120 lbs in 5 months from each drink and food was a blessing for a much happier life overall. My GI worked so much better, and my body heals faster, with way less drama. Not sure if that was from dropping the extra crap or just feeling good as everything is in your gut. Listening to the body and looking for better food is key. -
