Just curious as to who would be the oldest barebacker on here, maybe a guy in his 70/80s? Would love to know what decade they first barebacked in and what sort of environment it was in and how they got or gave loads in that not so open time. Most of us in my age range started before AIDS/HIV became the topic of our community. So we really didn't think twice about bare. After all, we weren't going to get pregnant. And the contact (that all of us on this site love) of skin on skin sex was "normal". I never went through the condom phase. I tried once, absolutely hated them and never looked back. The 70's were surprizingly open, more than most understand. We weren't on TV (in a positive light) nor much in the media at all except for gay rights. Even in early 80's, when AIDS was new and not much was known, most didn't leap to condom sex as a solution. Now, as all of us here know there are some who think we're nuts for bare sex. Condom sex has become the "norm". But, the resurgence of sites like this and others seem to be taking "action" away from the mainsteam "safe sex" sites. AM still taking it raw, occasionally someone will want to use a condom but I usually refuse them and most times they will take it off. As to where I got my contacts, I dont see it as much different then today. Bars, now more elaborate and called clubs, and known places of gay cruising, parks, bookstores, and theaters (sex ones).
