I certainly think so. I don't see many who have begun to BB going back to safe-only. Behavior gets riskier, more extreme or perhaps freer, less inhibited with time. It is a slippery slope, but one that gives a joyful ride.

I was wondering - has anyone here ever gone back to safe only (unlikely on this forum perhaps)? Do you know anyone who has, what made them do it?

Yes I am sure that it is one way it is for me, I will still have safe sex with some men but more and more it will be raw.

Dont think there is any turning back, once you have had it once you just want it more and more - and eventually all your fucks will be raw

It is for me, but I've seen guys who were real sluts cut back on their fucking around under the right circumstances. They're probably still barebacking, just not with as many different guys.

Actually an example of someone stopping barebacking and going back to safe sex is Brent Corrigan. He was so eager to do bareback porn that he gave fake ID at the age of 17 in order to do it. Now he's all reformed and the poster child for safe sex...

That clip is so fake/phony it's not funny. I mean did that really get anyone to use a condom?

I wonder what sort of sex he has off-camera. I would LOVE it if it came out that he's a big 'ol bareback whore when the cameras are off... That would be too funny.

It's very addictive after the first raw experience. I asked for many more raw fucks only after and I still crave that excitment and dirt in me every now and then. I was a super slut especially with t. Long story short, I stop doing t for 2 years now and have met a very nice guy. He is poz as well but doesn't want to fuck raw at all and I understand from his perspective and did not push it. We are together for one and half year now. I must say it's hard for me as I do think about alot and coming on to this site does not help neither but I love him and I just have to go with it for now until I break one day.

Congrats on quitting the T...that ain't an easy thing to do.

I wonder though if we should include deciding to bareback while spun in this category...when I've been fucked up, I've chosen to do a few things that I wouldn't necessarily want to do while sober. I started barebacking before I discovered T, so it didn't really lead me to do anything new in that department, but I can see how some guys might only bareback when they were fucked up and regret it after they came back down.

As for the bf, is there any particular reason he won't bareback with you? And would he be willing to consider opening the relationship a bit so you could meet your sexual needs?

Oh no, I was into barebacking way before I discovered t. T just open me up and made me realize the piggy side in me.

I agree I should not have put both together.

Bf wise, he is worried about superinfection which I understand since i am in the medical field but sometimes the piggy side in you just say fuck it. In terms of satisfy my sexual pleasure, he's doing a great job!

The risk of superinfection is a myth. They've searched high and low and only found something like a dozen cases of it and all of those they believe can be explained by infection by the 2nd strain around the same time as infection by the first strain. There is no evidence that someone with an established case of HIV getting another strain on top of the first one.

To me this is an example of the lies and fears of the anti-bareback crowd. Please, do your own research and question what anti-barebackers tell you - a lot of it is just flat out wrong.

If your boyfriend were worried about Hep C, or other STDs I'd understand, but superinfection is not something he needs to worry about.

I voted "yes," but I am aware of exceptions. In the 80s, there was a massive reversal [safe sex]. And in the "Naughts" (2000-09), another reversal [unsafe sex].

It's hard to go back to protected sex, if you started unprotected. I started my unprotected life in 1981. The "streets" taught me what to do. Occasional brushes with condoms chafed.

If we want to survive as a community, something has to change. Promising anti-viral gels may be one option.

The complication of partying with drugs & alcohol (worse, the drugs, in my experience) makes for unrealistic goals; no one will ever be completely satisfied. The brain has been manipulated by potent chemicals - not the natural scent of a man. And as we all know: it is hard to go back to plain vanilla. So it's important to assess (!) how I came to Barebacking: and why I stay.

In some cases, it is better to evolve into fantasy, deeply, and pull-out of the hardcore stuff - if it's killing me.

And as I have seen by posts written here, as we age - forget it! The excesses a man of "age" has to indulge to keep the men swirling around, or in him: it may end sadly.

I chose "yes" in the poll, and I think that is the answer today. This is largely because of the existence of a pro bareback community online at sites like this one.

I started barebacking in the early 90s. After having given up condoms for less than a year, I moved for work to a smaller community with much less of a gay scene. I went back to using condoms because the guys I was hooking up with wanted to use them. If I had been in touch with all the guys in the world who wanted to fuck bare, I would probably have kept looking for them. The internet has changed all that.

I went back to barebacking a few years later (late 90s not sure exactly when), and I have never gone back since then.

Well, i think that a lot depends on how you got started; particularly if you are a bottom. i was young and innocent when i started and maybe the first 20 times i was fucked it was raw. i never knew any other way, and when i was first fucked with a condom (maybe my sophomore year in high school) it seemed so unnatural that after that i insisted that the dudes not use condoms. Over the years, i think i can count on my fingers the number of guys who have used condoms. And i always keep the condo and suck the load out of it. And this sort of thing feeds on itself. The more raw loads i take, the less natural getting fucked with a condo feels. So, it deff is a one way street
