breederboy Posted November 15, 2015 Report Posted November 15, 2015 I'm a top, been having a few issues maintaining an erection during the last year or so, due to Lexapro & beta blockers. My libido is still very strong, but since I'm not overweight or have any major health issues, the doc thinks it's due to my beta blocker. So he wants me to start a trial of Cialis 5mg and he wrote me a few rounds of refills for it too. I haven't taken one yet, the plan is to wait until I'm really naturally horny & then take one the night before or the morning before I have sex. I can still get erections, they just come & go more since I started metoprolol. Doc wants me to switch to Diltiazem too, a calcium channel blocker, he says it will also help my erections come back. I can still cum just fine too. Also, I find that I have to touch my cock constantly to keep one. So I haven't taken the Cialis just yet, wanted to wait a few days and save up a big load and get really horny and then take one. Question, what can I expect with it, will it help me keep a rock hard erection? And will I be able to cum on it? I hear great things about it. I have a bud who's taking it, he's about 37, and he breeds bottoms constantly with it. I know it lasts longer than Viagra, which would be great for me since tend to cum multiple times anyway. Thanks for any input!
kckinkybtm Posted November 15, 2015 Report Posted November 15, 2015 I tried it because I'm on beta blockers, too. I felt a bit flush while it was in my system. I don't think it really helped all that much. Each person is different. Viagra worked better for me and only felt flush for a few hours instead of all day 1
breederboy Posted November 15, 2015 Author Report Posted November 15, 2015 The doc seemed pretty confident that it will help. I don't need much help, just a bit of a boost Just have to figure out timing the dose so it does the most help. My bud tells me that it will stay in the system for 1-3 days so potentially more benefit per pill than Viagra. I am looking forward to trying it. I tried it because I'm on beta blockers, too. kckinkybtm Posted November 15, 2015 Report Posted November 15, 2015 Been a couple of years, don't remember the dose. It was a standard dose. It stayed in my system about 36 hours
lower_bucks_bottom Posted November 16, 2015 Report Posted November 16, 2015 5MG is the dose for daily use. I take that once a day and it gets me hard with no side effects. The 36 hour dose get me hard for 36 hours, but I also had a headache for 36 hours. The only issue I have is that my insurance will only pay for 6 of the 36 hour pills and not the daily use, so I end up paying $230 a month for it.
jeff238 Posted November 16, 2015 Report Posted November 16, 2015 I had issues with metoprolol. In my opinion it is a wretched medication. My side effects were total lack of energy and no sex drive. It turns out that I was hopelessly over medicated as well. I changed doctors and he took me off of it right away and put me on lysinopril/hctz. It was light years better even at equivalent dosage. Have since ditched the HCTZ and lowered the lysinopril to 5mg a day. The only side effect I have noticed is some minor joint pain on occasion. I've never used boner pills so far so can't comment on that part.
lkngrnd Posted November 16, 2015 Report Posted November 16, 2015 I take Cialis 5mg daily. The cost in Canada is $126 a month, but my drug plan covers 90% so I end up paying $14 a month for 28 pills. No side effects for me. Love the extended hard on.
breederboy Posted November 16, 2015 Author Report Posted November 16, 2015 I need to be on at least a small dose of a beta blocker, until I can get an alternative. The doc has mentioned me trying Diltiazem a calcium channel blocker instead of metoprolol. What I'm wondering is if the Cialis will be enough to counteract the effects of the metoprolol. Basically now I can get rock hard, but only if I stimulate myself manually. If I have sex, I can't stay hard for too long, and it just wants to go soft. Never used to have this issue before I started lexapro and metoprolol. Hoping the 5mg cialis will help me get back my sex life. I miss the constant, spontaneous erections and when I didn't have to worry about going soft every time I stopped touching my cock. He gave me a 30 day free sample of 5mg tablets.

Thanks for any input! I take metoprolol succinate for high blood pressure and have not had any issues with erection. Did not even realize it was a possible side effect until I read this post. Hope the Cialis works, if that is your cock in the picture for your profile it would be a shame to not get that big thing hard. I am on Fluoxetine (generic Prozac) but tried Paxil first and it made me totally not interested in sex at all. In talking with others who have had issues usually when they tried another SSRI or two then found one that helped with the depression but without sexual side effects.

Yep that's my dick. It can get hard but not spontaneously and not reliably, since I started the Metoprolol. I also take laxatives for a digestive issue so not sure if that affects it too. I've tried Paxil and Lexapro & had the same sexual side effects on both, but I really started to notice it in the last year or so, with the Metoprolol. So I think maybe it's that, but who knows. The docs assumed it was Metoprolol. I'm going to start off taking 5mg Cialis and see. Might have to take 10mg. Just see how it affects me first. I have to take the beta blocker because my blood pressure is fine but I get tachycardia (fast heart rate) so need something to control it. Doc's talking about me switching to Diltiazem instead. But I kind of want to try Cialis first. Everyone tells me it will work great. I hope it does because my confidence is totally shot.

Well hopefully the Cialis works but if not I would keep in mind it might be the Lexapro too. Maybe that and the Metoprolol together? Sometimes taking meds and finding ones that work without debilitating side effects is like whack a mole. To me anything that makes it hard to get or stay hard is a debilitating side effect.
breederboy Posted November 18, 2015 Author Report Posted November 18, 2015 I thought about trying B12 supplements too but I have no reason to think my levels are low or anything. The Lexapro is a real low dose, only about 10mg. The Metoprolol I've been tweaking, down to about 30mg a day now. The doc has prescribed me some Diltiazem, which is supposedly not supposed to have the sexual side effects of the Metoprolol. AT one point a few months back I was taking 100mg of Metoprolol a day. But kind of leery of Diltiazem too for other side effect reasons. I think cutting back on coffee and caffeine may reduce my need for any beta blockers at all, and then I am going to take the Cialis. I know it lasts up to 17 hours in the body, so is it best to take it the night before sex or the morning of? And I hear different things, can you cum on it ok? I'm a huge cummer and need no help in that department.
breederboy Posted November 20, 2015 Author Report Posted November 20, 2015 Took the first Cialis. 5mg. Been about 3 hours since I took it. Haven't felt anything really major yet. A weird slight tingling sensation in my groin, a couple nice erections but so far nothing like a constant hard erection or anything. It's my first dose and I know 5mg is a low one so maybe it will just take a few more for it to build in my system for me to really notice it. I'm on the 5mg daily trial regimen.Maybe it will just take a few more hours to really kick in, or maybe it will take a few more days of daily dosing. I might try taking two 5mg pills and see what happens but will probably wait a day or two and see how the daily 5mg works first.
