Anal Fissure

So all of a sudden I have got about 3 or 4 anal fissures. Not to painful, unless I want to play. One is bad and bleeds really good. With a mirror I can see the blood drip out of the fissure. How long does this take to heal and does anyone have any hints to help it heal. I know the obvious, don't play with your ass.

See a gay-friendly proctologist - you may need surgery. I have a tear down there that pretty much makes it impossible for me to enjoy being a bottom. The few times I've tried to bottom it hurts like shit and I bleed. If I ever wanted to bottom I'd need surgery.

I've had them before. While not to the extent RT mentioned (i still bottom and have fun) they are usually signifier of a more serious issue. Go see a gay-friendly proctologist. Getting it looked at and fixed is the best thing you can do. Just letting it sit and NOT getting it looked at could make you not able to bottom in the future.

I had one starting 6 mos ago. It bled mostly when I went to the bathroom, anal sex was painful especially with large cocks and aggressive tops. So Basically I had very limited anal sex for a while. I put all sorts of cremes, tried 2.5 % prescription cortisone suppositories and nothing helped. Scar tissue formed and hung out of my hole a little - it didn't look so hot, also inside a hard nodule formed this was also a form of scarring. In between those things was the tear connecting them. Finally I went to a specialist and he explained that I got it from either not enough fiber in my diet OR I got fucked too much and it tore. SOOO he said it would never heal right because I was too tight to allow my hole to relax and heal. 1 Month ago I had a fissurectomy and also he cut my anal sphincter just a little bit to make my hole a little bigger and not so friggen tight. I am all healed and my hole looks perfect - the hard nodule is gone in side, the scar tissue that hung outside is gone and my hole can more easily take a cock. I'm still on the tight side and have great muscle control but it's more enjoyable for me and the tops can penetrate me more easily. I highly recommend this option if it doesn't heal for months. Cremes just won't fix some fissures. You will be unable to get fucked for about 3-4 weeks and even then you will want to be with tops that are patient in letting you relax.

How do you tell if a proctologist is gay-friendly?

I'm in Orlando, FL ... seems as if all of Florida is conservative.

I've had two sphincterotomy procedures done, and they ALMOST healed everything. Last proctogist I saw said there's a small fissure higher up than expected. This was years ago ... it hasn't gotten worse (I can take smaller dick but c'mon ... I want the days of taking 9" - 10" dicks easy again!).

I can still take big dicks but it hurts like hell ... rather than nothing but pure pleasure in the past.

I had the surgery as well and it really helped. You can't just ignore it. I too still have to find a thin cock to fuck me. Way too painful with any thickness. Years ago when I had my first fissure a doctor gave me a foam spray that helped with the initial healing. I also used an herbal liquid made for fissures after that and that really helped too. Just bite the bullet and go to the doctor. It's not going away. Wen you get fcked, tell thetp t g slow a first. Thatinitial adjustment is important.

I think most local LGBTTQ organizations compile lists of gay-friendly doctors, and are happy to pass along their info for anyone who asks.

What is the herbal liquid you used?  I've been taking fiber pills and hydrocortisone 2.5 for weeks and minimal improvement.

Basically it goes like this:

If a fissure doesn't heal on it's own or with some non-surgical treatment (botox, cortisone cream, sitz baths and gentle fingering) then it's chronic and requires surgery.

The fissure, or fissures, typically heal within 2-3 days of surgery, so before your first bowl movement post-surgery.

Definitely talk to a doctor to see what he or she recommends, a proctologist first.

I've had the procedure done, and I'm still anime to take the same big dicks as before. Only difference: I can no longer take them with only the saliva on the dick from sucking it. However, individual results may differ, and this entry is not intended in any way to be medical advice in lieu of consulting a doctor.

I've been dealing with an anal fissure for a while now.  The cortisone cream really isn't helping.  Trying to take fiber pills so everything is softer.  Hurts like hell after a bowel movement.  Been to the doctor and he gave me the cream but really can't tell a difference
