"locked" Topics?

Can I ask the purpose of posting a topic then locking it? so others can't see the post or reply to it...

You're talking about the stealthing thread yeah?? It was locked by a moderator because it belongs in the backroom section, where people have an idea about the kind of content to expect. It should still be visible though.. you just can't add any new posts.

The original poster did not lock the topic. A moderator did. 

 

Once a person has responded to a post, we generally lock the thread rather than delete it.
