The only reason ACLU has been quiet is that they need a plaintiff

They need someone who can prove injury with this law, someone like a sex worker who's income is hurt by this law. The problem is that prostitution in many states is illegal.

I have been reading through the comments and as an Australian I feel blessed. How could your government be so blind to the term "land of the free" a true contradiction. Hang in there guys or come live down under ;)

Because many in congress had their “hearts in the right place” becuause the law was designed as anti-sex trafficking. Especially about people enslaved or forced. But, it’s too far ranging and with removal of net neutrality, this will become the Norm. Especially if the current president and congress remain in control.

A literal LOL from me… Your country got gay marriage when? My husband and I got married almost 13 years ago now. And that was us not rushing. We waited a year after Ontario got gay marriage. Sorry, but Australia has it's own set of issues…

I've also gone through all the members that classified themselves as female – deleted at least half of them.

For someone who must have spent half his life objecting to discrimination against the Gay Community, discriminating against women has to make you some sort of hypocrite! Shame on you Lol

I'm sure you can find some site somewhere that still has all the profiles for female escorts in Bangalore!  lol

Not sure if this has been covered, but using terms like "whored out" or "whore me out"....are these ok as long as no mention of money?  I know Ive seen in the past where bottoms get whored out, simply to take as much cock as possible.

Yeah, the term whore is often used interchangeably with slut, so not an issue.

Ok, Im curious... why is the govt suddenly interested in sex for pay? Is it ok to mention this activity in strictly fictional stories?

Whats going to happen next? No more dad/son stories? Chem stories? Are going to and utilizing foreign based sites a way around this? Or will/ or could the govt shut those sites down? As do other countries like China?

November comes. There's a change election, and things return closer to normal.

But this bill had strong support from the Democrats as well. I don't think they realized how bad it was. Or they knew, but didn't want opponents saying they didn't do what they could to stop sex trafficking.

But I'll say it again… VOTE! And on a regular basis give your feedback to politicians – especially if you're in a red or purple state!

I already registered. If you know your congressman/congreswoman or senator's office number call them. If not here's a link to help you out with that. https://www.callmycongress.com/

Pretty much all Senators would need to be voted out - it passed 97-2.
