Moderators drscorpio Posted July 29, 2018 Moderators Report Share Posted July 29, 2018 When you copy and paste from another website or a word processing program, you often carry over the formatting from the other application which can have weird effects in here. Here is a cut and paste from Adam4Adam: Scene Casual, Out Yes, Smoke No, Drink Socially, Zodiac Scorpio. 5.5", Cut, Bottom, Bareback, HIV Negative, on PrEP. Prefer meeting at:My Place. Moderators drscorpio Posted July 29, 2018 Author Moderators Report Share Posted July 29, 2018 Now when you paste formatted text, you should get a new option in the window where you enter the message that gives you the option to "paste as plain text instead." This is what the same text looks like if I click on that option: Scene Casual, Out Yes, Smoke No, Drink Socially, Zodiac Scorpio. 5.5", Cut, Bottom, Bareback, HIV Negative, on PrEP. Prefer meeting at:My Place. Higher Ed
Moderators drscorpio Posted July 29, 2018 Author Moderators Report Share Posted July 29, 2018 If you are cutting and pasting a lot, please make sure to use the plain text option. Not choosing that is the cause of most of the posts with text the same color as the background or with bright white highlighting.

ErosWired
@drscorpio - I have noticed that in copying/cutting and pasting from within the same dialog here on site, the result after save appears to be one or two font sizes larger than the original, though that isn’t obvious during composition. Like this. Selecting the Plain Text option does resolve the issue, but one would think working from within a single post on the system editor would not produce the problem. Perhaps a style setting somewhere is off by a couple of numbers? Edited November 20, 2018 by ErosWired
