Anxiety affecting performance when meeting guys

Hopefully I'm not entirely alone in this - I've started meeting guys after a long hiatus and find that the anxiety (shyness basically) is making my cock go to sleep. This evening I met a smoking hot guy and just couldnt - he was fine with it, he was quite dominant any way but it's really annoying me. I have no issue with getting erections ie. morning or when jerking off to porn or just thinking of guys.

I know it is in my head so something like viagra is basically useless, I dont want pills anyway - I'm interested in any advice on how guys who have had this have mentally overcome it. It's embarrassing and leaves me with blue balls.

Thanks for any advice, it's really appreciated.

You could try whatever it takes to make you lose whatever inhibitions are blocking you. Different things work for different people but anxiety meds won't help. Sometimes alcohol helps as long as you don't get so drunk you can't perform, sometimes it takes something chemical that wil make you so horny you'll fuck anything that moves.

i suggest practice.  It seems you've already identified the issue. Kinda like getting back up on the horse after falling off.  You have to overcome the notion/pattern in your brain that tells you you are not going to get hard by proving to yourself that you can.  Maybe practice at a glory hole where there is less visual or personal connection, so it's less complicated?  You know that this is not physical, so maybe putting yourself in position where you can become more easily distracted from being "shy."  A bath house might be another good place, just sort of overwhelm your self with opportunities and take it out of the 1:1 ratio?

I just can’t imagine how people can “treat” or “teach” someone if nobody knows anything about their “patient”. And yes, apparently, people forgot the unshakable rule of any treatment and any help: “treatment and help should be based on mutual respect and trust of the patient and the doctor, as well as on the patient’s unconditional consent to the treatment plan proposed by the doctor”. And if the patient does not agree with the treatment method or this method is not suitable for him, then the doctor must choose another treatment method that will be most suitable for the patient

I think their advice works.... You are being a bit clinical lol. I think I agree I need to just keep trying meeting guys and get over my anxiety so my dick wakes up. But I appreciate the Freudian moment lol https://assets.s3xstatic.com/bz/uploads/emoticons/default_tongue.png

Lol, agreed, I’m not a doctor, nor do I play one on tv. You asked for input, glad you understand this is not clinical or medical advice, just simply discussing and giving you the feedback you asked for. To me this is more along the lines of fellow sports team members encouraging each other... “shyness” is not a medical condition.
