So this week I finally did -- I got a pair of soft, "over/under" knee pads that are made to be worn either over or under your pants. Not something I carry, but I remember a Top at camp a couple of years ago carried with him a small wedge made of some kind of stiff blue foam. We arranged to hook up and he brought it with him into my cabin. Nothing as innovative as the knee pads great idea!) but when I’m properly organised for cruising I wear trousers with zippers down each leg which make it easy to slip them off over my shoes. I usually transfer some oil-based cream lube into a tiny plastic screw top tub of a type supplied for airline travel and slip that into my sock.
