I went to the new 357 at its new venue on a visit to Sydney a few month ago. It was very disappointing. No better than bodyline which had deteriorated as a place for sex over the years. Far fewer guys, far fewer Asian guys. The 357 website implies some improvements to the place but it seemed exactly like bodyline to me. It was supposed to be lights out night at 7pm and I searched and thought I had the wrong night. In fact it was just a small part of the top floor. I did manage to fuck there once but it was nothing like the blackout at the former venue which was really hot and would have me top and bottoming many times in an evening. I was so upset at the loss of the original 357 so soon after the loss of Bangkok Babylon, my two favourite saunas in the world.

I went a few weeks back and yeah I thought I completely stepped into Bodyline again. There are rumours of a new CBD venue for them which should be better but this one isn't it. Sydney sauna seems better now.

I worked at Bodyline for a little bit back in the glory days. I saw and got involved in some crazy stuff. I found that just before I left Sydney, the sensitive culture was flooding through, and the freedom of wild fun became a thing to look down upon. I hope the wave changes back again. I have a lot of straight friends, and true to the straight culture, they catch onto the gay trend later on, and I find they are having the wilder and more [banned word] sex, while the gay culture is worried about what gender they should be.

Bring back the wild days!!

I COULD NOT have put it better. Sex in the pre 80's-90's was a time of fun, loving, experimentation & collective gatherings. We had all types, leathermen to drag queens, drinking at the same bar, laughing, joking & talking dirty. Yes, racist & gender jokes / stories were told & often by the same people who were the "BUTT" (couldn't help myself) of the joke being told. We laughed, shared another drink & maybe touched each other up. There was NO SUCH THING as political correctness & we enjoyed life more than NOW, when we are too afraid of "offending" people. Humour has left the building 😭😭😭.
