MANY Red States Now BLOCKED!

Newsom signs child internet privacy legislation into California law around September 16, 2022.  The law will also require tech companies to incorporate technology to verify a user's age before allowing access. The law will go into effect on June 2024.

If California is going this way as well, that’s a troubling sign. If every state starts implementing ID requirement laws like this, a VPN isn’t going to do much good if there’s nowhere to pretend to be from that isn’t controlled by such laws. It also makes me wonder how long it will be until someone tries to create a law holding companies providing Virtual Private Networks responsible foe ensuring that their systems ate not used to give minors access to pornography. If I were an anti-porn zealot, I would be looking at it.

From what I've been hearing Gov. Newsom came up with all this because he's runny for the big office.  Other states saw this and thought it was a great idea, so they started implementing it before 2024.  It's all for too much power & control.  Other countries are doing the same thing, with different means of gathering info.  Computers and phones have all the person's info on them.  Well most of them do.

It’s Male Prime, not Male Porn. That’s my “SFW” erotica site.

You haven’t given me enough detail to help you. There are no states near NY that are blocked. Which means your ISP is giving you a IP address that was previously (fairly recently) used in a blocked state. The ads on this site barely cover hosting costs, so I don’t pay for the more accurate/up-to-date geoIP service.

You do mention “links”. Is the problem only when you click on a link? Which links exactly? But honestly I don’t see how you can access this site, but have a problem with links.

That it is your "SFW" erotica site is actually a good thing. Part of my fear was that it was a trojan redirect containing a virus. It isn't. It's just a new part of the way I experience the site.

I may not have the computer jargon correct. The outcome is the same. I was able to reach you today by typing "breeding zone" into the Google Chrome search bar. It auto-filled the rest of the address once I started typing. That action got me to this email chain.

That was wildly inconsistent last night. I was frequently redirected to Male Prime.

This is the first action I am taking on the site today. I'll complete this response and try to navigate and test the outcomes.

This worked. So far. For this email reply.

It's not consistent. On the site last night if I went to the header bar for Breeding Zone and clicked on any of what I'm calling "links"

                    "forums/chat/blogs/gallery/other/activity/BB Porn"

I could then be redirected to Male Prime. It was inconsistent. It was unusable. When you say "I don't know how you are using the site." I wasn't. I was navigating through redirects.

Hitting back/forward sometimes got me back to where I was but unable to get to "the backroom" or directly access where the restricted stories are.

Bookmarking this site brought me directly to Male Prime. I had a Chrome bookmark, for many years, that last night brought me to Male Prime. I deleted the bookmark and created a new one, that new bookmark was bringing me to Male Prime.

I do have a VPN. I wasn't using it. I've both used and not used a VPN with this site for many years. It's NordVPN this year. I leave it set to NYS when it's on. It was Windscibe on a different computer years ago. Using a VPN with this site has never been a problem.

Even were there a problem with using a VPN, the problem is brand new after many years of reading the fiction here and coincides with the change of the laws around the country and the launch of Male Prime.

I know how to use a computer. I may not always be saying this correctly, but I'm writing at length to include as much information to give you a sense of how I now experience the site.

All other bookmarks in my "p" (for porn) folder take me to the sites they were created for. Nifty. LPSG. Cam4. Chaturbate. Flirt4Free. XVideos. OnlyFans. PornHub. They all work. The list goes on.

I hope you have the information you need to understand the issues I'm having. I do not want to lose access to Mackyjays fiction. I read and reread compulsively. "Tales from a Jock" and many individual stories, too.

I have written at length. I will send this off to you and hope it works. If it resolves I'll let you know. I hope it does resolve.

Thanks for being here. You and the site. Over years. It's meant more than you know.

So far this morning, no VPN, it's working. I'll try with VPN later. I'm not using a bookmark.

Definitely Van.  We all know the social pendulum swings.  I am hoping it will slow its course soon and start to swing back.

Once in place, laws like this are unlikely to go away.  You know, "think of the children".  Those four words cause a lot of irrational behavior.

Set your VPN location to Canada or another country.

I'm in the UK and set mine to USA sometimes to watch US Netflix as it has different shows and films than the UK version

I've already experienced ebb and flow of public opinion.  That said I agree with you; those four words often are the source of undesirable behaviors and our trajectory hasn't turned yet.  History is filled with periods of tolerance and intolerance.  And look globally; so many are still under the thumb of religion.  And while certainly much social good has come from religion over the millennia; a whole lot of the evil foisted upon our fellow man has been at the behest of organized religion.

Question from someone that doesn't live in as much or a backwards country as the US, do these blocks only apply to Porn and Porn related material, or does it also apply to all age rated content?

For example will ID proof be required for sites such as Netflix and Dinsey+ because they house age restricted content based on MPAA

For general information: You can bet that, sooner or later, one of these cases will percolate up to the Supreme Court. We can no longer assume "stare decisis" (the legal principle that once a question has been legally answered, that answer stands except under extraordinary circumstances) - as we saw with the overturning of Roe v. Wade last year. But this Court does seem to be taking First Amendment issues very, very seriously, and that gives some hope that these laws will be struck down.

Because it's well-established in law (for now, at least) that the government can't make you provide identification in order to exercise your First Amendment rights. It's why newspapers can protect their sources, and it's why PACs (at least, some of them) don't have to disclose their donors: you have a First Amendment right to speak anonymously.

And protecting children - the phrase that ALWAYS rears its incongruous little head - is no excuse. The government, the Supreme Court has held, cannot deprive me of MY right to read something simply because it's inappropriate for children to read it. And even "inappropriate for children to" is a bad phrasing, because even children have some First Amendment rights, and while it's legal to criminalize giving them material that is legally obscene (very little "porn" is), there's no really clear line as to what else, if anything, government can forbid them from seeing (and punish those who provide it).

At some point, someone with deeper pockets than RawTop (and I don't mean that as a diss) will sue. And he's likely to win. It's just going to take a while and it won't be a pretty fight.

The site will be moving to a server outside of Detroit soon, so pick Detroit or Toronto for best performance.

Most of the laws exempt sites with <33% adult content.

As much as it would be painful to hand over my data, I’d rather have a program/system where my Apple or Google or Samsung wallet can be used to validate that I’m using the device and that I am of legal age vs all the “we’re protecting the kids; but don’t get too carried away we’re not gonna feed them or give them a good education or even give them a decent chance at having a roof over their heads” political hate mongering (because it’s gone way beyond fear at this point)
