Heh. I wish I had met you the last time I was there. I love PS, but it's too expensive for me. I have loads of crazy fun there, but barely can rest, I have so much to do and too little time.

My best times in Palm Springs have been at the Motel 6 on the corner of Ramon and Indian Canyon-- right in the heart of downtown PS- and inexpensive. WIFI is $3 and the locals can drive right up to your room door, walk in and fuck and go- no front desk wait to be escorted to the room- you only need to pass the room info to the guy as you hook up and he can drive to you. And, as a bonus, during the week lots of contractors stay there, weekends the grunts on leave from the Marine base-- and after a beer or three, well.......... Most of the gay places do day passes, so you can still hang out naked by a pool- just not the Motel 6 pool <g>

It is 2 blocks to the ToolShed bar, 3 blocks to the Warm Sands gay resort/cruising area, and if memory serves me there is an IHOP, Starbucks, and Jack In the Box all within 1 block

BTW- for guys not familiar with Palm Springs-- it is def a weekend city- so from Monday afternoon till Friday evening the gay resorts can be pretty empty. And the room rates are still pretty rich- so why pay 4x as much for a bed, in an empty resort, when you can save the extra $120 and drop in on the different resorts on their daily specials- one has half price on Wed, or one has some theme day on Thurs, etc. And if the pool area is not busy, you are out $10 , not the cost of a room there ( like, $160 or more) And, at almost all the places, a gues has to come through the front office/lobby and either sign in or get you to escort them in. Not a good deal for a local ( who prob knows the desk clerk from the local scene) who might be playing around while the hubby is at work. A motel like Motel 6 makes Craigslist type hook ups just so much easier and less complicated ( and there is very little incentive for the guy to want to hang around after he fucks- show, blow, get back in the car and go! No window shopping the rest of the property for the next 3 hours )

I wish I had known all this when I first moved to P.S. in 2004. I stayed at the Motel 6 and it WAS very cruisy but I had no idea it was THAT cruisy. I've been curious about the Tool Shed but didn't want to just drop in and drop my drawers to see what might happen, but is the Tool Shed that allowing that you can have discreet sex with someone there, are there any slings, is management OK with it? When I first moved here my bf kept me busy but he just moved back to Monterey for the surf and fog to get out of this desert sun. I love the sun so I'm here to stay but I will have to get out more on th weekends and get some day passes. Thanks for the tips. Now I have some "homework" for this cumming weekend. :-)

Camp Palm Springs, Visa Grande and some of the other places in Warm Sands. This area is within walking to all the main gay bars and restaurants. As for Motel 6, it's known as murder and drug central. The police need to ALWAYS have back up when they have a call there. Stay there at your own risk.

Camp Palm Springs has gone downhill and has been up for sale. Don't expect much for what they charge, and the sex action can be minimal, even for their CumUnion weekends. CCBC has the best grounds and plenty of places to have sex - video rooms, sling rooms, outdoor army area, cruising paths - whereas Camp PS just has one sad little sling room. However, CCBC is famous for grandpas and trolls, not that there's anything wrong with taking their loads. ;-) Wednesday is a busy night, as they give us locals discounts for day/night passes.

The best option for a somewhat younger (20s-40s) crowd is All Worlds, with a renovated sling room and small gloryhole maze, and outdoor fuck spaces. And they have redone their rooms and spruced the place up, and is popular and busy on weekends. Canyon Club has also been renovated and has an amazing fuck garden and sling room, but again, can be sometimes empty. Helios is good for their organized sex parties once a month, but with just 11 rooms, don't expect too much action anytime else.

Note that all the above places are the only ones in PS that offer day passes now - and thus, are the busiest and cruisiest. At all the other gay resorts, you'll just by fucking whoever else happens to be renting a room at the same time you are. ;-)

Anybody happen to know which resort is more "bear friendly" - All Worlds or CCBC? Wanna go and breed ass one weekend in July, but wanna end up at a place where I'll have the most chances to fuck. Sounds like CCBC might be better - even though I'm not quite a grandpa or troll yet...
