Tested positive for Syphillis....

Recommended Posts

Started developing a rash on my body about 2 weeks ago, I thought it was an allergic reaction to something. Last week went in for my annual bloodwork and on Friday was advised that I tested positive for syphillis, on monday morning i got the penicillin shot in the ass...My rash is starting to go away in some spots, but still see it in other parts of my body. So questions for those that have traveled down this path..

1. How long did it take for the rash to go completely away?

2. My titters were 1:64 when am i safe to engage in sex again? BB sex, I dont want to pass this on to others?

thanks in advance for you help..

good questions! i don't remember exactly which means neither were a big deal

1. i think it was just 2-3 days. seeing as i had them for a couple of weeks that seemed to last an eternity, it was almost as if the disappeared overnight by comparison

2. i think they told me 2 weeks. tbh i was so upset about testing positive i had 0 interest in hooking up for several weeks so it was easy for me to beyond the recommended period. just the memory of the joint pain alone put me off the idea of fucking

Be happy you went to the doctors fast. Keep up with the visits about it.

I had it once many years ago i didnt have that much of a rash but my joints were sore and thought it was arthritis.

So I saw a arthritis doctor and gave me shots for it. A few months later my joints were worse and feeling like shit.

I still had no major rashes or sores.

She sent me for a full blood work and sent me to a specialist. The results came back and at the specialist he told me it was syphilis but in an advanced stage. He rushed me to a local hospital do to my kidneys and liver was not doing well and I got a spinal tap. The worst pain ever getting that long needle and found I had a spinal infection so i was submitted to the ICU for a week as they pumped antibiotics for the week I felt better a few days later. I had to get a pic valve in me and for two weeks i had to carry a portable pump.

I was pretty much in bed for a month.

It was not fun..

I've had it twice between 2019 and 2021. Both times it was caught on my tri-monthly testing so it was caught early. Both times I didn't exhibit any symptoms at the time, so that was a plus. I got treatment for it. I haven't had it since, even though I'm taking more raw cock and cum now, than back then.

Both times I didn't seek out any sex for another 4 weeks after the last shot just to make sure it was totally gone then retested, which showed negative results.  Then back to the fun.

Wow Njn0mc, you had it really bad if it impacted your joints...I did feel some joint pain in my ankles but I thought it was something I must have done either running or walking...My next visit is my physical in May so ill see if they can test it then, if not then my next follow up is the end of June.

Joint soreness can be one of a number of other things (compensation for other injuries, degenerative wear and tear, osteoarthritis, hyperextension, or even COVID). It's no wonder that @Njn0mc dismissed it as a sign of syphilis.

Just so you know your Titre once they decrease by 4 folds that means from 1:64 to 1:16 after penicillin shot you are considered cured. Usually any rash or chancre cures within 7 to 10 days. You should be OK with sex in 10 days or so. Titre drop takes at least a couple months however doesn't mean you are infectious after 10 days. Titre is a medical indicator that you are cured. You may take almost 5-7 years for titre to go 0. Also your RPR will always be positive indicating you have syphilis antibodies. However your titre will indicate that you are treated and cured.
