BE SAFE...when it comes to fraud/fake predators (not taking loads)

This is a bit of a boner killer - so consider yourself warned.

I'm happy to share details if wanted.   I'm sharing this because I think sites like this and others are places where we need to feel like we can be pigs without being defrauded or scammed.  I myself am deep in pig/pnp culture so shits gonna happen but I don't think that should include being frauded and extorted by fakeass accounts who aren't even fags and are just here to take advantage of us.  I've had shit stollen from my house, or money taken at a bathhouse - but it's a real ass person that fucked me and stole from me, not some fake ass person praying on me.

1. DON'T JUST BLOCK IF IT IS TRULY PREDATORY:  Plenty of dudes had encountered this and specifically the account involved here...I got several DMs after I posted about it.  Some had fallen victim to the scheme, some had just blocked the account recognizing it was bullshit.  No one had reported it.  We all have felt wronged on this site, so we shouldn't REPORT people who just piss us off or are not into us, but if this is predatory fraudulent behavior we can help each other out by reporting.  I exchanged quite a few emails with NKP fraud support today and I trust their intent to keep sites "safe" from fraud.  This was one response from them:
   
   "I have been an admin on this site for about 12 years and see a lot of what happens. As a team, we catch a majority of the fake and scam accounts. Some are bound to make it past us.    It is not just this site that has these scammers (I am sure there are many out there, not sure if it is any type of organized group).  I see them on Grindr, scruff, etc.  We take these complaints seriously and do what we can to prevent it from happening.  They are like whack-a-mole.  Take out one and another pops up.  But we keep at it. Block and ban them as fast as we can.

   This is one reason we rely on our members to report this activity. the faster we prevent it and block it, the better."
   
   When I shared with several of the guys I was communicating with the profile that was involved in my friend/my experience, the response was "oh yeah, he's been around for a while."  Notably, I did a Google image reverse search of his profile image.  His profile image is that of a legit San Francisco based escort service, has substantial amounts of reviews, and the site itself has credibility in our community.  I actually messaged the legit guy who responded shortly after saying the account was absolutely not him, he was not on NKP and never had been, and was pretty upset his image was being used.  

2. DO NOT SEND MONEY:  If someone is an unknown to you, never send money.  And if you have, don't fall victim to that scheme which then says "oh, shit, you think you could chip in for XXXX" and then I'll be on my way.  

3. THEY ARE COUNTING ON FEAR:  I share a wide variety of things on these sites as do others; many of us have different comfort levels of how open we are.  These predatory fuckers know that people who are frauded in these situations are less likely to report it to authorities (in the case of financial loss) because they would have to explain the situation in which they were defrauded.  Don't let that rule you.  Start by reporting to the site.  One guy told me he had lost over $1000 via a scheme which finally led him to report it to the site.  In the case of my friend and me, the lost was $200.  I reported immediately.

I hope this post comes off as well-intended as it was intended.  I want to a be a pig.  I wanna be in a community where I can be and I can fuck and use and be who I am.  I just don't want motherfuckers ruining it by praying on us when we will never have a chance at their load.  I've been stone cold sober for 48 hours and gonna take one more night of rest before being back on the train of swapping loads.

I've seen so many fraud/fake accounts on Grindr it's unreal. I've gotten to the point where I look at a picture and a profile. If it seems off to me. I'll reverse image search and see what pops up. 

I get blank profiles that ask for all kinds of pictures, face, body etc but have non themselves. Once that happen, I don't respond and delete, or block. 

 

Guys get horny to get laid they don't see the red flags. People need to slow down when on the apps. 

 

As for in person, I carry the bare minimum with me. Hide my wallet in my car. Just carry my keys, and my phone. Only some anon with one guy. Which led to him and his friend/partner/buddy but the vibes checked out. 

I can rarely host, so if I do I'm catious of who I have over. Usually it'll be a regular of mine. But then again, I have 4 dogs. One is a 50lb staffy, and another a 100lb mastiff mix. Their barks is enough notice to tell people to have caution and not go poking around. 

 

I'd never do face down ass up in my own home. No anon, no lights out. At a hotel? Sure, I'll lock anything important in the safe.
