Before I started PrEP, I fucked a good number of guys who were HIV+, some of whom subsequently died (back in the late 80's/early 90s.)  When my then BF told me he had pozzed and I did it to him, because I was the only person he'd been with, I took it for granted that I had and we broke up soon thereafter.  I went years without going to a doctor, assuming I was poz and was going to die anyway, so it didn't bother me to fuck someone who was poz. 

One day it occurred to me that years had passed and I had no ill effects.  I took a home test and -- surprise! -- I was negative.   

To your point, the chances of you getting infected as a top are less than if you're the cumdump...but that isn't zero.

I'm pretty sure I caught HIV this way, but with several more risk factors. In my case I was not only sticking my dick into a cum dump with multiple loads inside of him, but sticking my dick into multiple cum dumps over a 3 or 4 day period by the end of which my dick was rubbed raw. I'm also uncut, which has shown to potentially increase the risk as well. 

You are doing the right thing by taking a of course of PEP. I did it for 10 years before it caught up with me, but in retrospect wish I had behaved differently.

The bottom in question may well have been on PrEP. However, that's pointless in terms of protecting you if there's already cum (particularly substantial amounts of it) in the bottom when you fuck him. While topping is, as noted, much less risky than bottoming, that's referring *PRIMARILY* to the idea that a poz/detectable bottom might infect the top. The calculus changes - and we don't know by how much, but it's definitely significant - if there's poz/detectable cum in the ass when you fuck. (If all the tops before you were negative or undetectable, of course, AND the bottom was on PrEP, then the risk is zero. But you can't really know that.)

More importantly, cum dump situations are ripe for picking up other STIs. If any of the tops had syphilis or gonorrhea, for instance, there's a good chance of picking it up.

Here am I saying this after seroconverting  20 years ago- it kinda goes with the territory. If you are fucking raw, you are most probably going to catch an STD eventually. Moreover, the fun part of fucking a cumdump (I haven't had the pleasure yet) is feeling the loads in an ass, which could carry any type of STD. PREP protects the person taking the prophylactic, not anyone else. If you really want to play, get PREP and doxyprep. And while you are at it, get your Hep A and Hep B shots.

that's the problem.  I really really want to play with dudes.  I wish the urge wasn't so strong, but it is.  I absolutely adore men and the chance to play with them is sometimes insatiable.   i do not want an STD, but unfortunately I've already got one - HPV in my ass.  So I'm dealing with that with regular anal pap smears (so far all negative).  I've been on prep in the past and have now gotten doxypep and will stay on prep (and start doxyprep) going forward.  I hate the reality of condom-less sex, but I also hate putting one on especially when i know how good it feels raw.  It's been about 3 weeks now on PEP, I'm going for my blood draw this week to see my status, but I feel like even with all the protections, STDs are inevitable.  nothing is 100% protective.   OH - and yes - the lube inside an man's ass that's filled with milk is so incredibly hot.  Plus this dude was a complete slut so he begged for it.  I shot a load so hard my mind was blown lol

I understand you, and believe you are on the right course by taking all of the precautions you can, which sounds hypocritical from someone like me who is essentially recommending something I failed to do myself. The temptation is simply too hard to resist, given the pleasure it brings.

Sorry if my response was a bit blunt.  I don't mean to judge you. Not at all. I've done things in the heat if the moment and pre meditated. I try not to have any regrets. I'm a vers bottom but prefer to be fucked more. Always bb. Only I don't get enough cock as much as I'd like. I used to get frightened and worry but I don't anymore.
