Usually, about 2 or 3 years ago, it was 99% condom only, like the only ones proposing bareback sex were either already HIV positive or the minority on PReP

 

Nowadays, it seems to be about 60% condom and 40% raw.

 

The strange thing is that here PReP is not that much accessible and I think only about 5% of the guys can be on PReP, so I don't understand the change. For example, the last 4 guys I talked to this days, we're about doing it raw, but not on PReP, married and so on.

My experience is that about 75% of tops that I contact prefer bareback or are willing to go raw.  Probably 40-50% of bottoms prefer or are willing to take a bare cock.  When looking for a fuck partner I like to find out as soon as possible if he wants to fuck bareback.  At public places like ABS booths, saunas and outdoor cruise spots it seems like bareback is the expected method.

Lots of tops on there say they are undetectable, I usually look for them when I don't have any PrEP around.

In the past 10 years I think only one hookup top has refused bb. Everyone else has just assumed raw play and didn't ask my opinion.

If someone says safe only, I still meet them. In my experience, most end up asking if I've been tested lately and take off the condom and finish raw.
