NastyKinkPigs--What's going on with that website?

It's been weird for so many weeks.  All the videos are gone.  The video chat function has gone wonky.

I assume this is all in an attempt to update it--but it's taking weeks upon weeks.

 

Anyone have the inside story?

I heard nkp was a good place to meet other likeminded individuals but I can’t even get the page to work right anymore lol. Wish it would. I wanna meet more daddies and poz ones at that especially from my area.

I think it's pretty much only ever been a one-man band on the development side (a bit like here where, AFAIK, rawTOP manages all the back-end stuff, but at least has a number of moderators), I think the same is also true of BBRT (which thankfully isn't breaking, but could really do with some updating).

I've never had any contact with PigBoss (the NKP owner) so this is just my own speculation from many years as a user. I agree with the others that have speculated this is part of an update process. There's already a significant disconnect between the desktop and mobile versions, search on the existing mobile version is terrible. Every few years there's been posts on the feed about an "app", and the mobile site does have some rudimentary early mobile app development look and feel. My own speculation is that they're trying to build a new app-based site that would ultimately replace both existing desktop and mobile sites, but while doing that they don't want to disable existing access to users.

The removal of videos might be more to do with ensuring compliance with the increasing existence of "online safety" laws in many jurisdictions and what that means in practice for someone running a website (BZ for example is now geo-blocked in many locations).

There was a weird thing a month or so back where there was some sort of "age verification" notice/button but it didn't actually do anything - for me it kept springing up everytime I visited a group page. In the last couple of days, the main feed has been showing the landing page, if you click enter it just loads the homepage into that iframe.

So, ultimately I suspect that different bits of the back-end architecture are being played around with which is causing different parts of the site to break in different ways. This is quite an odd approach to modern web development/updates, typically you'd build your new site in a separate development sandbox and ideally either make sure you could use the same database with that new UX or port the existing database content into a new system/structure.

It was hit and miss for awhile, but seems to be working consistently now

I can’t really agree with that. I have the same issue. I’m sorry, me plural that  “issues “. Their days that I switch between iPhone iPad, my MacBook, another iPad and a different iPhone and iMac, generally majority of them load but every once in a while, which is becoming more more frequent that the Beginning parts of the Pages load, but then as you continue to go through them or click on my profile then that’s why I sent one into issues where I can’t load the page or to any redirect happen in this this happens both on my Wi-Fi and my work Wi-Fi (that’s a whole different topic ) nonetheless it’s not my DNS settings. It’s not my VPN. It’s not my network. It’s definitely a website issue. I do love the site, but it’s true lately. It has become very much unreliable.

I was just there. seems there is no cams on tonight again. Wonder if something was bad or is everybody having the same trouble. My friend will be here this weekend, and he likes giving me shards and fucks me. He likes doing it all on Cam there with guys watching. among other things.
