With your immune system weakened with mono you should try to get all the loads you can hehe

While I imagine the last comment was intended as a joke and while I've not personally had mono, from the way Eric describes it, I don't think he's going to be much in the mood for load taking for awhile.  Not to mention that if they kiss or they suck him off, he might be giving it to his partner, which wouldn't be too cool for them. 

It also sounds like he lives at home, so a stream of guys coming up to his room to bang him while he lies on his belly and drifts in and out of conciousness might annoy the 'rents, even if he is out and proud.. <g>

As to your question, if you got it from sex, then by definition it was, for you, a sexually-transmitted disease.  According to the CDC:

"Typically, these viruses spread most commonly through bodily fluids, especially saliva. However, these viruses can also spread through blood and semen during sexual contact, blood transfusions, and organ transplantations."

So...  it looks to me like it would be classed as an STI, though since you can contract it through saliva, it isn't solely an STI in the classic sense.

Get well bro. Maybe you should do at least an autotest for hiv, I think it would be a lot harder if you had it and your immune system had to deal with mono+hiv untreated.

hopefully you are still neg and have time to get poz after your body is able to fight that shit with its full potential.
