    My bf thinks 'brotherhood' sound Aryan/racist (he's Asian). Bunkhouse does have some fun overtones… So yes, definitely a western vibe. And cowboys ride bareback sometimes, right? Initially I was worried it would be too kitsch a reference, but I'm warming up to it. As someone noted Bareback Bathhouse also meets the BBBH acronym. But to me it sounds too common. There were overtones of "brotherhood" that I hoped to work off of. What I'm thinking of doing in that respect won't fit quite as well with the bunkhouse concept - or at least it won't seem connected to bunkhouse where it would have seemed connected to brotherhood. But that is what it is. If bunkhouse sounds like fun, then that's a really good thing to say about it. And yes, I'd love to do Bareback Bunkhouses as destinations - summer camps sorta thing. But that's a very distant goal and would take a bunch of money and organization. (I can't do every cool idea that comes into my head). #bbbh comes with Twitter followers, but is #bbbh tied to the word brotherhood or is it just bareback/breeding in general by now? We'll see I guess since it seems bunkhouse is the clear winner (so far).

    Initially I wanted to save the phrase "Bareback Bunkhouse" for a tongue and cheek, "family friendly" iOS app, but I've had a number of people say they like Bareback Bunkhouse better than Bareback Brotherhood in the context of a hookup site. So I'm just wondering what you guys think. There are three options for branding of BBBH.com: #BBBH The Bareback Brotherhood Bareback Bunkhouse Either way it'll be on BBBH.com. I'm just wondering which branding you guys like best in the context of a hookup site. The other consideration was that I felt weird about changing the common meaning of BBBH, but I'm starting to get over that qualm.

    Some bottoms are just more casual about shit than others. The generation of gay guys who are now in their 80s used to call fucking "browning" because in the 50s and 60s gay sex wasn't quite the art form it is today. It's not like you had your options of places where you could buy the latest in douching equipment. I know if a bottom is coming from work, I always ask how they're going to clean out before coming over. I don't need details - just have them say enough that I know they've considered the issue and are dealing with it. And lately when I'm making arrangements I say "are you cleaned out and ready to go?" That kills two birds with one stone - 1) how long will it be until you leave, and 2) you've cleaned out, right? But at the end of the day shit happens. It shouldn't happen too often but it'll happen sometimes. The problem is when you're in an area where guys just aren't all that bothered by shit. My impression is that that happens more often in rural areas when straight guys are involved, etc.

    I've mellowed a bit since I first started this site. Most of the major tube sites are actually legal. The court cases have happened and as long as they take things down quickly, they're within the law. That wasn't so clear back when this site was started. Since you guys were bothered by them, I deleted a lot of the discussion that led to bbfan74's comment.

    After taking a close look at the off-the-shelf software I was going to use as the basis for bbbh.com (and then heavily modify), I've decided to write my own code from the ground up. It'll be a big challenge, but in the end I think the result will be better. One of the new design concepts in websites is "mobile first". Typically mobile sites were after thoughts. Mobile First changes that and you design the mobile version first and then layer on a few extra features for desktop users. That will be the approach I'll take. What this means is it'll take a little while longer, but once the core is there, feature enhancements will be easier. In contrast this site is based on an established forum script (vBulletin). It's got a robust feature set, but it's horrendous to modify - to the point where I just don't bother. BBBH will be leaner with fewer features, but I want to really be able to get in there and tweak the features to make them cutting edge.

    One thing that's interesting is that about 15% of the people who are choosing to be permissioned to see bug chasing and gift giving stuff are choosing not to be permissioned for the chem sex stuff or groups. So the good news is that people are filtering out the stuff they don't want to see, which means they should like the site better than they did before.

    No. It's not really "migrating over" - I'll just do a dump of user names and email addresses. It's more about reserving the screen name. The order that I'll be handling things in will be: rawTOP.tv users get their names reserved first (sign up there - it's free!) Breeding Zone users who have >100 posts and have been active in the last 90 days will get their names reserved second. The rest of you can get in pretty quickly if you watch this thread. Just use the "subscription" option for the thread and have it email you with instant or daily updates so you see what's happening quickly. Remember, it's probably going to be end of January before I let anyone other than beta testers on the site for real. My first goal is to have really good profile and search capabilities. Then I'll layer in a bunch of other stuff.

    I've separated all these comments into a new thread. These issues have been bugging me for a while, and as of today the issue should be resolved. All bug chasing and chem sex stuff is now opt-in only. So by default users won't see any of that unless they specifically enable it.     Your account is fine. No need to respond here unless you're having problems. If people request I can delete the post with their email as soon as the issue is resolved. Not everyone has filled in the BBRT/A4A option in their profiles.

    I'm changing who can access what on the site. Don't worry, if you want to see everything, you still can, you just have to jump through a couple of simple hoops. The Backroom is being locked down. By default people won't see what's in it. You now have to explicitly say you want to see HIV Fetish and Chem Sex stuff. It's not hard to do… Click on "Settings" in the upper right corner. In the sidebar, click on "Permission Groups" under "My Account". Then click the options for "Chem Sex" and/or "HIV Fetish / Bug Chasing / Gift Giving", and then click "Join Group" and that will give you access. There's another option for "User Groups" - they're generally restricted because they're a bit of a free-for-all. Why is this happening? Simple - some people are turned off and offended when they see things like bug chasing. The solution I've implemented should offend no one, but still gives you easy access to whatever you want to see. (I'm kicking myself that I didn't figure out how to do this sooner!)

    For years now I've sorta ignored bouncing emails. I'm just now getting around to marking users with bouncing emails as "awaiting email confirmation", which means you won't be able to post anywhere but the Tips & Tricks section of the site. If your email is not up-to-date, please update it now, by going to "Settings" in the upper right corner and choosing "Edit Profile" and then "Edit Email & Password". It'll save all of us a lot of hassle. If your account gets locked down because of a bouncing email and you find you can't do things like post, just reply to this thread with your new email address and I'll change your email address and send you an activation code. (Check your spam folder if you don't see it). If you've forgotten your email address, you'll need to do something to prove you own the account. One option is to message me on BBRT or A4A from the profile mentioned in your profile here. Short of that, I'm not sure how you'll prove your ownership of your account - so don't let your email address here go out-of-date! In other related news, I've deleted everyone who's "awaiting email confirmation" who hasn't logged in in the past 120 days and who hadn't made any posts. That amounted to over 2500 accounts. So realize, if you wait too long to resolve email problems your entire account can get deleted.

    ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!! Breeding Zone is not a bug chasing site. Yes, there's a bug chasing section for those who are into that. But the site is for barebackers in general, not specifically for bug chasers and gift givers. In fact I'm very close to making the bug chasing and chem sex sections by request only - something you won't get by default. Your comment makes me think I need to make that change sooner rather than later.

    I'm not going to impose one concept of BBBH - it means different things to different people. But there does seem to be a central core (giving/taking anal loads), so I'll focus on that. Bug chasers will be welcome. But I am planning features where if guys don't want to see a particular type of guy (say a bug chaser) that those people can be filtered out. The lesson I've learned from this site is don't scare people off. So that's my approach with BBBH.com. Stealthers do their thing on non-bareback sites so they're not really an issue. I mean you can't stealth someone who wants to get fucked raw and take your load.

    I'll simply link to the sexual health section on here. I plan to use one of the more popular chat scripts. I think you guys will like it, but I'm still investigating all it's features. But it would open up in a new window (I think). Logout and you'll see all those sections you mention are not visible to google or non-logged in members. The only exception are the fiction sections. In other words, what you're asking for has been done since day 1.

    What device do you have that supports Flash, but not HTML5? Are you sure it's not the other way around? iPhone/iPad only support HTML5 video. Androids briefly supported Flash, but now only support HTML5. Now, within HTML5 there are different encoding standards, but that's largely worked out these days. That said, most paid porn sites properly support mobile these days. Some do it through separate pages, others do it through "responsive design" where the page changes to meet the environment of the particular device. Where you may find problems is on the free sites. Glad to hear my sites work for you. My older blog posts were never upgraded, but the new ones all support both HTML5 and Flash.

    PEP doesn't really work unless you start it within 72 hours. Sounds like it may have been a longer for you if you then discussed it with a few people. I think here you'll find most people say be proactive with your health, not reactive. Get on PrEP if you're taking loads. But being poz isn't the end of the world. Just take care of yourself and you'll be fine one way or another.
