Yes!! Religions do have followers & their approach to how society should act is often critisized but society in general has rules, incest, bigamy, rape, murder, cannabalism etc that we follow & there are those who see no reason why some of these & other generally frowned upon acts should not be legalised or at least accepted. Most other groups or organisations also have rules that are non-negotiable & must be followed eg: Australian Defence Forces have rules on hair length, facial hair whereas, some European countries (Sweden, the Netherlands) are more relaxed. The UK has even drawn a line on men in women's sport & some men REFUSE to have sex with their trans counterpart. We cannot always use RELIGION as the target, of ridicule, when these same people will have their own individual sections & rules in society that they object too.
