Just reread this post and thought I would give everyone long over due follow up. That ended up being the last time we fucked. He stopped returning my texts. 3 months later I went to get tested. The test result was HIV+. I don't know if it was him, as I did continue to meet guys from BBRT & A4A and fuck bareback. 6 months later, after starting meds, I changed all my profiles to HIV+, undetectable. He responded to my profile and said I see your status changed....and I never heard from him again. His profile says he is on PrEP...but he was not back when we were FB. Will never know the truth.

You take it the same time everyday, LA time, So in LA you take it 10pm daily , while in London you take it 6am every morning, 8 hours later( 10pm in LA), in NYC you would take it 1am every night, 3 hour later. I think it is great. I just changed my profile today to reflect that, neg on PrEP. We need all guy, poz & neg to get more comfortable with this, and encourage neg guys to get on PrEP, and poz guys to feel comfortable fucking neg guys on PrEP. This is the best way to decrease HIV infection rates or eliminate them over time.

I am new to PrEP. I have been on Truvada for 2 weeks and ready to start barebacking. Before starting PrEP I was very conservative about barebacking, and was always worried about converting, so never had much fun. So you know, I am a total bottom. Now that I'm on PrEP I'm hoping to have more fun and less worries. My questions to the long time PrEPers ( over 6mo) is 1) Do you just bareback with a hookup and never ask about status? 2) Do you stick with UD poz men on meds ( I think very low risk)? 3) Do you only bareback poz guys ( because the are almost all on meds with low VL)? 4) Do you avoid negative guys who bareback ( likely if poz, will not know and have high VL)? I would love to do #1, but thinking about #2, and maybe #3. I would like to get some feedback as to what other PrEPer's are doing. I know I'm likely over thinking this, but know the studies show between 40-95% effectiveness, likely 95% if taken daily at the same time, as I will be doing. I'm very excited, but not sure how to proceed.
