to me - it's a success .. i started when it was "invite only" and about 500k users .. now, about 2 years later, there are over 32m .. they have controlled the growth .. they have controlled the updates .. there are real humans running the company .. if they had a paid subscription i would quickly sign-up to support them .. when i post the same thing on twitter and bsky - the posts on bsky have better engagement (likes/reposts) .. and that's a LOT considering they have about 10% of the user base that twitter does .. i would give up twitter in a heartbeat if there weren't so many that i support there that won't move over .. but i'm getting multiple messages a day on twitter from users complaining about declining engagement .. most functions on twitter are done by bots .. when i message support i get back - we can't help - clear your cache .. WTF? so i'm REALLY happy at bsky .. and also at a new site imaglr.com .. to answer the "nasty" part - not so much .. if i search "poz" there isn't much that comes back .. but there are some really hot fucking posters there .. so .. again .. i'm a big fan .. for someone else it might not work .. hope that helps ..

UPDATE - 02/15/2025 - TWITTER - still the largest number of users - users are complaining that their numbers (followers/engagement) are dropping (very true) .. users are still leaving .. there's a rumor out there that all NSFW posts have been "shadowbanned" which means less eyeballs on your posts .. for folks whose accounts are how they make their money their finances are taking a hit (my accounts on all sites are not monetized) .. likes/reposts/comments are all suffering .. premium support often replies with canned remarks - often "clear your browser cache" and/or "we cannot provide any support" .. twitter is a true shit show .. REBLOGME - is imploding - they tried to do an update quite a few months ago - it didn't work .. so they reactivated the original software (legacy.reblogme.com) and kept the new software (reblogme.com) running at the same time .. they have now shut down legacy.reblogme.com and the new software site is bad and there are no updates .. you can no longer see your "likes" and your "archive" - which is a huge deal for users who post a lot and/or have been on for a long time .. support does not exist - no one seems to be in-charge and many folks are deactivating their accounts .. IMAGLR - new - still in beta - software is user friendly - many users from reblogme are going there which is really nice and it's fun finding each other .. reminds me of early tumblr .. because it's new user count is low but growing - engagement is really good .. support is good too - you hear back from a person, not bots .. bsky/BLUESKY - now has over 31m users and growing - still far less than twitter - but when i post the same picture on twitter and bsky - engagement is often much better on bsky than twitter .. video is still limited to under 1 minute - hopefully that will change soon .. support is good and run by people, not bots .. Musk's actions confuse me - i've read he's a consultant without authority to take official action. But that's what he's been doing - pushing ahead as if he has absolute power. Even a message to premium support gets answered by bots and many times its - clear your browser cache. Twitter is a fucking mess and engagement has been dropping and many are leaving. WTF!
