Best times to go: Unsure. I went on a Friday at about 7-9 pm. 

Other Details: I went to this party after reading that a couple of guys on the forum had tried it. I wanted to have an earlier evening, and since this party started at 6pm I thought I'd try it. I went to one of the parties in a loft space on 38th St. The space is spotlessly clean and really nice--a series of 3 rooms with curtains separating them. Lots of sofas and ottomans to play on. The lighting is nice and dim. There are two private bathrooms as well as a sink station, and a place to get cold nonalcoholic drinks--also a nice touch. No sling or fuck bench, and no porn playing, though. This space had a "classier" feel than many sex parties. 

I was pretty excited when I got there because there were a fair number of guys. However, the vast majority of the action was oral. I started sucking a guy off, and put myself in a position so that if someone wanted to come in from behind and fuck me it would be easy for him to do. Eventually I was fucked, by three guys in total, and by one of them twice. There was one other guy I saw getting fucked as well, by probably the same number of tops as me. I was at the party roughly two hours, and didn't see any other fucking. And there was absolutely no breeding at all. Each time a guy was getting ready to fuck me, he put on a condom last minute before going in. I went ahead and did it so the other guys would know that I was down to get fucked, and that there hopefully were raw tops there. No such luck. A couple of guys did use me as a bit of a bukkake boy. 

I hadn't used condoms in awhile, and you are cruelly reminded of how amazing bareback sex is when you are fucked with a latex-covered dick. There is that odd rubber smell. I've been to most of the good ones multiple times and can give you an overview. Going to deviate from the form though. Ordered by access/door policy and then favorite to least favorite:

 

Open-door parties

Rainbow House/Queens: One of my favorites. Crowd is very diverse, but leans Latino and Asian. Age range is wide, young and old. Attitude is pretty low here, too. This party is by far the best for everyday guys of all races, ages, and body types. There are really hot guys and really not so hot guys and its no big deal. Most men use condoms. But there are a lot of guys here.

The Orgy Guy/Fusion/Peak: There are three different parties: Peak is condoms only, Fusion is mixed and Eruption is bareback. I've only been to peak and fusion. Guys at Peak of course use condoms. Fusion depends on who's there. This party is SMALL, always less than 20/30 guys the whole night when I'm there, but the guys are hot. They are usually older (35+) but almost always the hot dilf, daddy, businessman types. It's more of a group orgy than a grab a guy and hide type scene. The apartment is very small and intimate. The host is very cool, and is careful. It feels like just a bunch of friends having sex in one of their apartments. Recommend if you like hot daddies.

Milk Chocolate Cumnuion Parties: This is held in Paddles right before the Encores party. This party has a lot of attractive guys of all shapes, ages and races. I recommend getting here early because it's short and few stay for Encores party. There didn't seem to be any judgement over bareback. Many were doing it (it's a cum party advertised on bareback sites), but also wearing condoms. This is a nice one to check out, but it's not as discreet as the other parties. One thing I don't like is this host has other parties at Rainbow and at every party there are really hot model-looking guys who just stand around. I don't know if they are hustlers or paid by the host to make the party look hot, but I've only seen them at the Milk Chocolate parties. The other weekday Milk Chocolate parties were dead when I went. This makes up for it.

GSA-NYC: Held once a month in Brooklyn. I've gone a couple times. It's a piss party. A bunch of men sit in the tubs and get pissed on all night. It's hot at first then gets old, but worth it if it's your first time at a piss party. There is a maze like area for fucking and exploring. Other than that, pretty run of the mill guys. Condom use a mix. Guys are mostly older daddy guys with some 30+ guys in the mix. Good if you like piss.

Pit Stop: This is held once a month in Brooklyn late at night. Pretty average crowd. A lot of older guys, with sprinkle of young, very similar to GSA. First time I went I had fun. Other times it just felt like a group of guys who meet every month and know each other. Didn't have the anonymous orgy vibe. Decent amount of men show up, but they come and go fast. 2-3 hours into the party and it starts to die down. This is probably a good "pit stop" (lol) if you live in Brooklyn and you're horny, but not worth a trip from out the borough. The crowd is slightly more fetish/leather oriented than the other parties. This was the time I met a "primal" top. Bit me, choked me, growled, belched in my face. Was hot.

Bear Party: I went to this party a few years ago when it was held in a Chelsea loft. I thought it was okay. Mostly older guys with a couple of young ones who are there for the first time. The thing is that the party is short and the hosts are really ready to go and want you out when it's over. The party is very small, only a handful of guys, but decent enough. I've only seen condom use here. Bear friendly though.

Encores: I've been twice and both times walked away with one word on my mind: "weird." Can't place my finger on it, but something about this party is just off. The guys are just in their own world sometimes. It's different than other parties. It's hosted at Paddles and so its got a brightly lit social area that makes me feel exposed and uncomfortable. Doesn't have the same anonymous, sleazy vibe. There is a woman who works the pay window which was odd. Last time I went a straight couple had ventured in and walked up to the pay window. i was standing on the other side in my jockstrap getting undressed so it was awkward. I think they were lost, but got turned away. Clothing is optional so half the guys are in street clothes which adds to the weirdness. First time I've seen a crossdresser at a fuck party. Selective Parties

Nubian/Dukes: I don't like parties that discriminate on race, but Nubian Dukes is only open to black men and Latinos except for special days like Swirl or their Latino parties. If you are black or Latino the guys here are top notch. No attitude. Nubian is supposed to be restricted to young top shape guys and Duke is "relaxed" door but still restrictive, but most guys seem to go to both. They're always hot. The only difference is that Dukes has more older men, but still in good shape. The beginning of the night is best, but once the bars close around 1:30/2 the vibe always changes a bit and guys get more picky. A lot of bareback goes  on in the dark room in the back. But most guys respect condoms too.

Taboo: This party used to happen last year but stopped. Only went a couple times, but it was my favorite. It was  selective about age and body type, and most guys were under 35. The attitude level was very very positive. Always had a good time. Pretty diverse too. Condom use was mixed, but definitely bareback friendly. The parties stopped though.

Swirl: Swirl is when Nubian/Dukes combines with GBU. It's hot. Yea, some of the GBU guys bring the rudeness here too, but the Nubian/Duke guys are so chill it balances out. A lot of young, hot guys of all races fucking. Bareback and condoms. It's restricted based on body type, always a hot time especially if you come early, because after a while it gets more selective and cliquey.

GBU Parties: These parties are like the white version of Nubian/Dukes, but aren't officially only for white guys. They restrict access based on age and body type. All guys are twinks to muscular. Almost completely white. I felt out of place there. This started out as a piss party but over the years it's just become a regular fuck party. They have one monthly party that's supposed to still be watersports, but when I went it was just one older guy in the bathtub being pissed on by dudes getting rid of their free beer. This is one of my least favorite parties for 2 reasons: Attitude is through the roof. The boys here can be quite rude and hostile. The vibe compared to Nubian and Rainbow is very different. I've been pushed, eye rolled at, scoffed at and intentionally ignored here like high school cliques. At first I thought it was a one time thing but every time I've gone, it's been the same issue. It's a part of the culture. The other thing is that the dudes here are young, college age and mostly under 25. Sounds hot, but the maturity level is low. That said, almost everybody I see here barebacks. If you're one of the cool kids you'd love it.

NYJocks: Only experience I have with NYJocks is when they co-hosted a party with GBU. Didn't like it. Felt out of place. It was basically GBU on steroids. Attitude and the cool table/don't sit with us vibe 100xs. If you're a conventional beauty between 18-40, you'd love it though. When I went it was in a small space and overcrowded, sweaty with a bunch of guys walking around with their friends.  Only the alpha jocks fucking each other. Waste of time, and money because it's more expensive than the clubs. Can't remember how much bareback was going on. If you have a friend and just want to watch hot guys fuck you might like it. It's a very selective door, though. I was asked to show my invitation even though others weren't. Just like getting into a club.
