One thing I've noticed lately is guys demanding to see a face pic before they even engage in a conversation. The real kicker is many of these guys don't even have a face pic on their own profiles! Its like "send me your face pic and maybe I'll send you mine" I really don't see what difference seeing a face makes if im gonna laying on my stomach to get fucked, my favorite position. Haha. I probably wouldn't have a problem with except these days showing your face to a random guy on a hookup app is like giving a stranger a permanent copy of your ID. It just bothers me. Anyone else feel this way? Sorry for the rant! If anyone has any creative solutions on how to deal with this please share. 4

I will not unlock because someone demands it. Discretion is understandable, but if you don't have a face pic, don't expect me to share mine. I do not and will not do it on Grindr no matter how much someone asks. 1

It's so hypocritical when guys demand a face pic yet have no pics displaying at all in ther profile. I usually just ignore them. No time for that bullshit. Or if they have a pic it is of some porn star...

I have my face pics showing on the apps, and expect the same or a guy who messages me without a pic to send me one in the first hello message or so. If he sends a face pic or two, I'm happy to share/trade more with him if I'm interested. I get that some guys are closeted or married or whatever, but I have to see a face pic of the guy straight away, or else I can't keep chatting. Gotta at least know what they look like. A lot of times guys that don't have their face showing will send a face pic in the first message or so on Grindr or Scruff, so often I don't have to ask for one. But there are still those that don't have any stats or pics showing and chat you up, those are the ones I just block. No time for that! 1

Now, he did unlock his pics, including face pics, but it was clear he is a fake because the pics are stolen from two different people. One guy is cut with tattoos, but in two of the pics, the guy does not have the same tattoo and is uncut. People with no pics at all, I simply ignore.

Yeah don't ask to unlock without unlocking yours first and asking after you unlock. Otherwise you're doing to come across as an arrogant demanding ass hole who might be out to steal pics or something shady.

It's a way of filtering out robo profiles. Inept social skills. Many want a venue or slight possibility of 'something more'. If they're on an app or hookup site, they don't necessarily have the skills or confidence to connect in real life for 'something more'.

I get very suspicious when there is only one body shot as I have had a guy who picture looked great, only to turn up almost as wide as what he was high!. Looks like we are going to have to drop the web sites and go back to the old fashioned ways of physically meeting up with that hot boy in a bar/nightclub/sexclub... 1

Unfortunately there are the drop kicks who think that they are just too beautiful to talk etc. There are a few good venues in Australian cities, with a lot more overseas that I have found in my travels over the years eg London, Brighton, Manchester, Scotland, Berlin, Munich, Hamburg , Copenhagen etc Note the absence of anything in the US where apart from Dallas it's been largely unfriendly, with the stand and stare look at me attitude supreme.

The game playing and constant back and forths and mind games on the apps is just too much for me. Plus the creep factor. 1

I'm always happy meeting up with guys who don't show face pics, but who share accurate stats. I'm pretty equal opportunity when it comes to getting fucked by both ugly and pretty guys. Also a lot of biases about looks come up when people can see an image that might stop them from having a real connection and fun experience with someone. I guess I feel like the importance placed on attraction can really get in the way of good sex.
