Cuckold - What's in a name?

My husband and I have had an open relationship for several years now but when we play with others we do it together. (He loves watching me get fucked.). Recently he opened an account on a popular  bb site using the word cuckold in our screen name.  I'm a bit uncomfortable with that as I always thought the word has a negative connotation ( not to mention unlikely to attract playmates.).  English is not my husband's first language.   But, I wonder:  Am I being too sensitive?

Thanks for your thoughts.

Thanks for your thoughts.

It historically has had a negative connotation when referring to a straight man who has an unfaithful wife, and lately it seems to have become a term of derision and is used to refer to any weak man without regard to sexual reality.

But it's almost a fetish for some in the straight community.  I'm bi and fantasize a lot about my GF getting fucked by others, preferably while I watch.  My go-to porn is amatuer cuck porn, especially black on white.  Many of the straight porn sites have whole categories devoted to cuckold porn.

Some are into the humiliation aspect of it, but with other couples it's a mutual choice and there is no humiliation involved.  The husband and wife often agree on certain parameters for what is and is not permitted with the "bull" or other male.  I don't recall seeing the term used in writing when referring to M-M relationships, but I think it should  be regarded as just another fetish with no negative connotations, at least among the open minded.

Historically, it does have a negative connotation. However, like most words with negative connotations, they can be reclaimed if people choose. Due to the mainstreaming of porn culture it's not hard to find men who embrace the term cuckold. We've also seen it increasingly thrown around on social media, where it's become a favoured insult of the alt-right. The negative connotation remains strongly in place in that context.

As far as deterring potential playmates, I wouldn't think that would rank high on most men's lists of deal-breakers. But I don't think you're being too sensitive if it still genuinely bothers you.

You'd be surprised how many guys are into having a spouse watch as they fuck their lover. Especially the alpha male kinds of guys. And I think your husband, even if English isn't his first language, knows and accepts what that word means and how it applies to him but in a good way. Some guys just get off on being cuckolded.

If you are specifically looking for him to get fucked and for you to mostly/only watch, I would think that term would make very clear what you after. Especially if you are looking more for this kind of play than a more traditional threesome.

I have decided it can mean whatever you present it as.

My partner has no actual interest in seeing me get used by anyone. He just wants to know that I "had fun".

I have decided to jump on the "cuckold" wagon by putting it out there on Grindr that my husband does want to watch, but discretely from another room, etc.

They will never see him and he doesn't have to even watch but he can think they are to help with the role play and fantasy of it all.

I will let you know if I try this...IRL hahaha at this point it's mostly an idea or concept.
