PrEP - can I use it after the USE BY date? How effective is PrEP if it is passed it is USE BY DATE? July 2018 on the (unopened) container.

I forgot I had this container in the cupboard...

Advice, please.

Over time medication does begin to lose effectiveness so while it may still work, it may not work as well.

It's one thing to take an Advil or Aspirin after the use by date, but with PrEP, I'd just toss it and only take stuff that is still current.

Definitely, talk to your pharmacist and/or Doctor. But, since they "expired" in July of 2018  they should be fine. It's not like they are a year or two old

Why not just stop taking prep and take the gift that so many of us have already received.

The reason people are on prep is because people do  not want to get HIV. The gift is the realm of fetish and fantasy. HIV without medications leads to AIDS  and to poor quality of life and eventually death. That is not a gift in real life. It's a curse.

And since you are on meds and a eunuch, there is no gift to give.
