Conventional wisdom / common folklore is that tops never get infected, and that Magic Johnson may have been sharing steroid needles, Jim Henson was a bottom, the ad campaigns to get tested stress normal sex to avoid the shaming of getting tested. It seems to depend most on whether your cock may or may not have any abrasions of any kind on it and possible toxicity of the bottom, Using copious amounts of lube seem to lessen it further, but be advised, it can still happen with unprotected sex, period.
