evilqueerpig Posted April 23, 2012 Report Posted April 23, 2012 Scott's nickname was "selfsuck"...for obvious reasons....used to have pics of him near the end of his life, if anyone has these, let me know
einathens Posted April 23, 2012 Report Posted April 23, 2012 he was a beautiful man, n amazing performer and also a gifted writer. he published the journal 'steam' as well as his life story, 'autopornography.' there will never be another like him.
batnap3693 Posted April 24, 2012 Report Posted April 24, 2012 whoever writes these passages is sick as fuck, this was a real man, who DIED, as in gone forever, leaving his loved ones behind. I highly doubt this Scoot was happy with dying at a young age. He wasnt "blessed", he is died. Real people loved him, and would be sick to there stomachs by calling the timing is death a "blessing", because common sense tells you it wasnt a blessing........
Bttm2go Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 Batnap has never read anything Scott wrote. He lived a short but fulfilling life. He embraced hiv back when it wasn't cool. A big fan of bathhouses, that's partly what Steam was about, he vowed to never use rubber. One of his favorite activities was to jerk his cock off inside a guys ass while fisting him. Sex was a natural part of his life. It was nothing to be ashamed of. He was never ashamed to have hiv. A lot of people miss Scott--family, friends, fans and readers. I am happy he lived his life on his terms and not by someone's narrow minded rules or beliefs. You should at least have some knowledge of what you are talking about before spewing garbage. You are the type of person Scott railed against. I met him a few times when he lived in Wisconsin and I was in Chicago. He was always fun to be around. I am glad he is in my memories. He was a proud gay, hiv positive guy. 1
einathens Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 he was an inspiration to short, goofy, overendowed men like me. his work onscreen inspired a lot of my adult sex life (including jacking off up a guy's ass). and his offscreen work and life made a diffreence to me as well. 1
marcsoton Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 He was also an advocate for NAMBLA (iirc) So someone who we can all look up to. NOT!
versmetropig Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 He was a complex guy. I only knew him in the 90's - I played with him on a number of occasions when he was in NYC - the photographer for whom I used to pose for coffee table books and gay mags was a very close friend of Scott's and that's how I got to know him. I wound up writing a number of articles for his personal publication "STEAM" back in the mid-90s (I still have my copies). He could be kind and sweet, and he could be cold and dismissive - he was, like all of us, human. He had flaws and virtues but the nice guy was the one who was most frequently around and the numerous small group sex sessions I had with him were frankly a blast. He did feel his HIV was a gift, and did not look forward to his death with regret - and apparently kept that attitude until the end, though I did not see him in his last 18 months. He supported some causes I personally find questionable but also fought passionately for LGBT rights. And though I've been POZ since '85 at least, I do not embrace death the way he did, and I have never been able to wrap my mind around that mindset, I simply can only acknowledge that it exists... saint? sinner? How about a realistic combination of both. He was a shrewd observer of human foibles; an intelligent conversationalist on social and political matters and a fun sex partner. I look back on him fondly if bemusedly. 1
Worknout Posted March 2, 2013 Report Posted March 2, 2013 Scott lived briefly in Memphis, TN. I wouldn't say we dated, but we knew each other, had sex a couple of times. In 'Autopornography' he writes about the curse of a big dick -- men scraped it with their teeth and found it too big to sit on. I was always afraid he was writing about me. I visited him in SF and we went shopping together. We bought matching corset forms. No reason -- they were just there! Anyway, he was a great guy and I miss him.
BBcurious Posted March 2, 2013 Report Posted March 2, 2013 Scott was one of my favorites, I remember being very entertained as I drooled over his pictures. I would have loved to sit on his lap.
spike-the-cat Posted March 6, 2013 Report Posted March 6, 2013 I met him just a couple of times--once when some friends brought him over and we sat on my suburban Chicago front porch rather shyly, talking about our shared favorite writer (the only fiction writer whose work appeared in Steam), and once when we made out in an SF sex house but didn't get around to fucking. His writing was always engaging and intelligent.
PozBearz Posted May 14, 2013 Report Posted May 14, 2013 I met Scott while in the porn business and I was scheduled back in 2005 to be in a porn where he would bareback and Hollywood breed me (shoot a volley of cum on the ass and then push it back into the ass). There was some problems on the set and the filming was canceled and never rescheduled. However me and Scott became friends and he would call me a couple times every month and we would get into a Q&A/debate about God and social issues. I knew he was really depressed and even advised him to seek out some help. We talked about his depression a little bit but I would never of thought he was suicidal in any way.... guess I was wrong. Anyway, I know I will miss him and his calls along with that ever promise to sink his dick in me good and deposit his gift.
