The Parliament House will be closing for good this Sunday.  The owners say they have plans to relocate on the future.

I had a lot of fun there.  Started going back in '83 and met some great guys (now long term friends).  Balcony bingo was a blast, although it had died down considerably the last few times I was there.  I used to go there for a week for my birthday.  It was fun in the day, but sad that things changed and now it's come to this.

Damn. In Atlanta, many bars and clubs also are closing and may relocate in the future

Sadly I doubt they reopen anywhere.  They have defaulted on several loans now.  No one will want to loan them money.

Over the years it has deteriorated.  For over a year, the air conditioning didn't work.  They have tried to remodel some rooms, but the last time I stayed there, not one but two rooms that I was in had black mold on the walls!

Even with the problems it is a shame it is going away. So many things are not surviving the pandemic.

A demolition permit has already been issued.  There is talk of somehow saving the iconic sign at least.  Word on the street is that condos will be built there.
