I rather suspect that the ignoramus from across the pond is very poorly educated in the Humanities.  Once the retardliKans re-suppress the non-Caucasian CITIZENS,

re-suppress all the citizens of this country that have some measure of care for their fellow citizens, they will come for all of us, including the cretinous instigator.  This kid mistakes "hate" for EDUCATION.  We do not get to make up "facts".  No matter how intellectually limited, facts are facts, whether some choose to remain hatefully ignorant of them.

As for what voters want to hear: I think Democratic voters want to hear what you're for, because Democrats want their officials to do something. Republican voters want to hear what you're against, because the defining principle of Republicanism these days is being "against"; against liberals, against socialism, against minorities (except those that know their place), against progress.

Maybe. I’m an independent and the easiest way to turn me off is to tell me what you’re against, regardless of which side you (not you per se) happen to be.

The effects of negative campaigning have been well documented and have been shown to reduce voter engagement in participatory politics over time, such that we now have a reduced and greatly polarized electorate. And that’s not solely the fault of only one side either. During the 2016 election, more than 55% of all televised ads released by both Trump and Clinton campaigns were negative. 55%! There is something wrong with that model. Over time, sure. But as the old saw goes, in the long run, we're all dead. People running for office in 2021 are not concerned that negative ads are going to mean only 40% turn out in 2035; they only care about winning the election that's on the ballot this year.

And I agree that negative ads are a problem on both sides. But "I'm against X" is not the same thing as a negative ad, at least in the way political scientists view them. Positive ads are ones that promote the candidate's views; negative ads attack the other candidate. Both sides do that.

But one side's candidates, in their positive ads, talk about the things they want to accomplish - universal health care, better roads, whatever. The other side's candidates, in their positive ads, talk about all the stuff they're against: against forced busing, against integration, against immigration, against taxing "job creators", against police reform... and on and on.

And that's why it's asymmetric. When the Democrats win, they have to assemble a coalition to overcome filibusters to enact legislation to achieve actual goals. When the Republicans win, they mostly need to block things from happening.

That’s part of the problem. The focus on winning. Some of us remember negative campaigning from years ago. If Bush Sr. hadn’t run that Willie Horton ad, our history may well have been different. Both sides run these ads because they work. They work too well, I think.

demokRATS losing their shit is so lovely to read! So much hate, so much delusion and so much bullshit!

Makes for great entertainment.

However, as hilarious as the above comments may be, it is time for me to read the BEST daily newspapers:

The Guardian, The Mirror, the NY Post, The Sun, and of course, The Daily Wire.

As I  enjoy my most delicious strawberry cider (mmmmmmmm), crisps, candles and cheating stories, of course!

Most of the replies here seem to come from members, that have more hate in them than the murderer, hilary clinton, when it

lost the Presidency to President Donald John Trump! Best President Ever!

Sad to see so much hate here!

Anyway,  time for my cider and crisps!

Good day Mates!

SWEET!
