I actually appreciate the ads from tops that give an age range they are looking for, I know whether to respond or skip. And I also know in cases that don't specify an age range, based on experience stating my age in online communication in a lot of cases automatically gets the "no reply back". I can deal  with rejection, but endless questions, pics, then.....nothing... is infuriating. I'm always upfront about my age as well as experience. I second the guy who said in person meeting is a lot more fruitful.. Cleveland/ Akron seemed different.  Of course it's a very socially conservative part of the state.

Well said about endless questions. When a conversation should progress to a yes or a no — photos have been exchanged, likes and dislikes have been shared, availability has been ascertained — but new questions are introduced, that's a red flag.

I would say, however, that this behavior is not just based on position or age / age difference, and that it's not restricted to online environments. Hedging seems to be part of the game of sex / relationships.

I am from the Cleveland area - it's not much different up here. FLEX and Club Columbus seem to be 2 places where it's easier to hook up. I'm older, and I prefer older, so it's maybe easier for me. I'm not sure I'd have as much luck if I was only looking for younger than me.

I think being older has the advantage ( or disadvantage) of being direct.
