Cleaning out in Mexico?

This may be a silly question yet, we've all heard the "don't drink the water" caution for Mexico. So...when traveling there is it ok or unadvisable to clean out using tap water?

When I was in Mexico I went to the local drug store and bought   Enemas for cleaning out.

I always kept a 6 pack of warm beer in my hotel room,  pop the top and give it a shake for instant douche.

Use bottle water.

You can also buy a Steripen. Cleans up to 1litre of water per treatment using UV light. Fill sink with 1l of water, steripen and you should be good
