Is CumUnion Dead?

I recently went to the worst Cumunion Party of all time. In 4 hours, only 2 guys who actually were having sex. The rest of the guys were more interested in talking. It got so bad, a guy who works at the venue came back to the main play area, and proceeded to cuddle with a guy. Then had the nerve to say “if guys want to see a show, they can get only fans.” After the cuddling, he proceeded to have a full conversation with six other men in the play area, all gaggling like a bunch of school girls. This lasted for like an hour. 
 

As I drove home angry and bewildered, I wondered why this was the third straight city where Cumunion was a bust. This is why I came up with:

1. C-19

2. Cumunion is now more of Brand than an actual party

3. With modern medicine, more guys are into BB so the novelty of Cumunion  has worn off

4. The exclusivity is gone, so now it attracts guys of all types in cities that don’t have a big “piggy” gay culture. 
 

I actually thought of setting up my own private parties, though not sure how that would work.

Thoughts? Is Cumunion over?

I think it’s No. 3. With so many guys on PrEP, every bathhouse or sex party is bareback all the time. There’s no need to go to a specifically bareback event, like Cumunion.

Sounds like a Cumunion in the PNW. On the other hand the cuddle parties are supposed to be big here. 

I've often thought about setting up my own parties, but it will have to wait until I move, since I haven't been able to find kindred pig sex lovers here. They really don't even do group sex.

I never thought of going to one of those events because I was already poz and I didn't feel like they  would be any different from any other organized sex event.  Most group events are bareback so why go to one of these, unless you may live in a rural area and really are not aware as to what is going on in your area.  I have a Canadian friend who drove to two of these events, driving from Ottawa to Toronto, and each time he came back with an STD.

I really felt bad for him.  He's found it difficult to find the type of sex he desires, and when he travels to find it he ends up getting sick. I know I take it for granted that I live in an area where sex is widely available, I really don''t know how gay men today, who are sexually active, deal with that kind of isolation.

To be fair, that how I probably became poz. When you can only get pig sex occasionally, you make the best of it when you do get a chance.  So I would go to a Cumunion or sex venue in a city that does have a piggish sex scene and stick my bare dick in cum filled holes for hours on end. I think meth has something to do with it. Everyone is a bottom now because a lot of people on meth can't get or keep an erection. And the meth situation continues to become more widespread every year. I’ve been ranting about that at this site since I signed-up and have had people respond that I don’t know what I’m missing by not being versatile and topping. We do without, or we save up our money and travel the long distances when we can spare the time and can afford it. No longer. The action never recovered from the pandemic, which also saw a change in ownership of the bathhouse. The new owners seem to have decided to squeeze CumUnion for every penny they can get from it, hiking the entry fee to $30 for three hours, up from $20 for 5 hours previously - that’s a 250% increase in the price per hour, and that’s just to get in the door. It doesn’t include the room or locker. I’m not going back at that rate. They’re strangling their golden goose to death.

 Some cities were hosting Cumunions up to 4 times a month. I have long wondered if the frequency of the Cumunion parties isn't part of the problem. Even here in NoFuckland, the 1st few Cumunion parties were great events where guys indulged their inner pig. Even the 1st post-COVID Cumunion was great by local standards even though it took place at a time when their seemed to still be a lot of pent up piggish energy at the baths.

Unfortunately after those relatively piggish events the baths were ghost towns for the next 2 weeks. So I have often wondered if once a month is a better schedule for most cities? There were some great places in London before CumUnion came along. 
The few times CumUnion was on it was great. CumUnion London has not been around for AGES… which is a shame. Went to CumUnion in Brighton/Hove and it was very cliquey and not enjoyable… have not been back. CumUnion served its purpose to help make

breedIng more mainstream. Now there are so many alternatives to cumUnion.
