Unlike Putin & Netanyahu, Zelensky has attempted to keep civilian casualties to a minimum. For this he has demonstrated a level of humanity not present in either of the two murderers mentioned.

You can't shoot someone with the type of weapon you mention, plus Zelenskyy has ZERO interest in knocking off civilians. 2 2

While believe what you will about me, just because you write it doesn't make it true. I believe those who actually want nuclear war simply want humans time on earth to be over. And ultimately that will probably happen. We wouldn't be the first species to die off and likely would not be the last. So I agree @fuckholedc I don't believe the end game of Putin's desire is nuclear war. But he does definitely want to grow his dominance on the world stage. We seem destined towards another world war IMO. I conclude that by considering the dynamics of the 1800's which lead to WW1 and WW2 are active again. We are still actively "solving" our problems with implements of war. And clearly there is a global power struggle afoot. Unfortunately, these implements of war are a necessary evil. After actually PROMISING UKRAINE with a GUARANTEE of defence (boots on ground) (1994) when Ukraine voluntarily gave up their nuclear arsenal to get this guarantee, Biden as the lead partner of NATO has egregiously failed, along with all other members, to meet this guarantee since the conflict began in 2014. Peaceful diplomacy in the areas of Ukraine, Gaza, West Bank, Taiwan, South China Sea et al has been an abject failure & these areas ARE NOW, either nightmarish conflict zones or tinder boxes of potential invasion & land grabbing by despotic leaders. The West has suffered extreme humiliation, along with lost lives, simply because they have taken the path of least resistance to appease GENOCIDAL, lunatic leaders who have played the PERFECT BLUFF. Zelensky has now used long range missiles (12mths too late) against Russia & GUESS WHAT🤔😱?? The world is still here & there is NO NUCLEAR WAR 😭😭😭😭. 1

Come on ... America lied flat out. BUT the NATO member states and esp. the newer NATO member states also put pressure on NATO as a whole to expand. It was inevitable that NATO would expand. In defense of this outcome, there was only one Gorbachev and subsequent Russian leaders proved to be just as ruthless as those 1921-1953. NATO is a double edged sword when it comes to promises made & membership desires of SMALL independent nations with simarlily small defence forces. After spending 50+ yrs as Eastern Bloc members, when freedom finally arrived, their visions of independent political freedom, economic growth & ongoing industrial developement were heavily overshadowed by ONE DEMON. That demon was the potential for a recalcitrant & despotic leader, of Russia, to have grandiose dreams of re-establishing "mother Russia" & her sycophantic little satellites. An independent nation small or large has every right, as the ballot box has shown, to strive for membership of whichever organisations they choose. No nation has the right to deny any memberships despite whatever demands or promises have been made by third parties. These small nations desire peaceful futures & no one nation has the right to enforce an alternative political agenda onto them. That is what we call, INDEPENDENCE. 2

They carry a high explosive payload (500 lbs) and upon detonation results in several thousand shards of shrapnel. They shrapnel as well as the blast wave do not (can not) alter themselves in the presence of children, etc. While intended to "degrade" military personnel and their environment, there is no guarantee. Like all weapons, they are indiscriminate. Missiles can go off course (unlikely in this case) or they can be incorrectly targeted (highly likely). The Russians have already claimed prior to this that US missiles have been used to attack civilian targets.

And yet when we read human history, there are often despots who take our species in directions most of us don't want. Over thousands of years that has never changed. 2

I spend so much time looking them up in Google but, this one?? NOTHING🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😘😘
nanana Posted November 20 Author Report Posted November 20 All good (say I , the OP) great to see a diversity of thought even when it doesn’t favor my own interpretation. Bring it on and keep it coming 🙂. The chat inspired me to look at stats on civilian casualties in the conflict, even one is one too many 😞. I hope we the residents of the planet figure out collectively how to de-escalate before the cost of disagreement is the entire species. Where’s a big scary homo-sapien-uniting alien when you need it? 2 1 1
PozBearWI Posted November 20 Report Posted November 20 True, we don't want to misunderstand and thinks it means Old People... LOL

There they are often very strong messages and motivators and even people opposed to Putin and Co. can have difficulty seeing through them. Quote Bullets are not bombs Correct. It's much easier to kill people with bombs.
