Moderators viking8x6 Posted February 18 Moderators Report Posted February 18 I have some hope that in 2025... The left wing, having had their hats handed to them, will do some serious thinking about addressing the problems of the many before chasing after the issues of the lunatic fringe. By that I mean the economy (as seen by the proletariat), healthcare, sustainable existence, and climate change (that's my personal short list of things that really count). The right wing, having their darlings Trump and Musk, et al., demonstrate their complete unsuitability for public office, will do some serious thinking about addressing the problems of the many before chasing after the issues of the lunatic fringe. By that I mean the economy (as seen by the proletariat), government spending, individual rights, and infrastructure (also my personal list, perhaps slightly less focused than the above but I'm sure some of y'all right-wingers will be glad to help me out). 2

I agree. Just because someone once experienced x or y or z, the world doesn't stop to gasp in horror. We do need to be cognizant of history, wrongs perpetrated (occasionally unknowingly), and correct those we can. Government can't and shouldn't try to guarantee everyone a ranch home in the burbs, a new-ish car in the driveway, steak dinners or swell clothes. The Left shouldn't try to impose correction of every single discernable issue upon the citizenry, and the Right shouldn't expect the country to come to a screeching halt when they pick at what amounts to rather little in the grand scheme. I too will be waiting for some "right-wingers" to respond cogently. 3 2

I think US has already lost that credibility. The Gaza comments have been insane, Vance and Hegseth were truly embarrassing last week, Rubio meeting with Sergei Lavrov in Saudi Arabia to begin talking about carving up Ukraine is terrifying. Ukraine and Europe are pissed, and it’s clear the Trump-Putin romance is back on. Trump saying in press conference that Ukraine should have already made a deal and that Ukraine shouldn’t have started the war with Russia was one of the most shocking things I’ve ever heard him say. There’s no way that our Western allies are going to be able to trust us with intelligence (nor should they - especially with Gabbard running the show.) I fear for the future of Ukraine, NATO, and Europe. 4
PozBearWI Posted February 19 Report Posted February 19 I think the US Government so far has lost it credibility. Suggesting that might apply to all who live here seem to echo 4547's belief he received a mandate. The only 'man date' he has received is with his boyfriend Vlad.

On the other hand, if their "bromance" were in some high-rise hotel in Moscow ..... with open windows to let the cool breezes in .... in the Dictator-suite on the highest floor ..... Could the world be that lucky ???? 1 1

Harris never had a plan for jobs. In fact Harris was choked up on the idea of creating a job that she said different stuff. That's when I knew that she is fake and we need Trump! Gay or straight opinion. There's a reason Donald Trump is president of the United States and why Red has both house and senate. People voted for it! And yet unemployment is skyrocketing already under Trump, including tens of thousands of federal workers. So much for jobs. 3 2

hntnhole Posted February 26 Report Posted February 26 Here's something to be optimistic about: There are crowds - sometimes hundreds at a time - showing up at their legislators offices, demonstrating, shouting down the lame banalities of their R representatives/Congresspersons. There are large-scale demonstrations against the Administration breaking out all over the nation lately. I have another one coming up on the weekend .... at a Tesla dealership !!! Yeeeeesssss .... I definitely hope none of those big, plate-glass windows get broken .... Do something. Write letters to your Congresspersons. Attend a demonstration. Join a political organization. Become active. DO SOMETHING. 3 1
DallasPozzible Posted February 27 Report Posted February 27 So now the R leadership has recommended that congress only do online town halls. They’re scared of the videos they’ve generated.

They’re scared of the videos they’ve generated. Agreed, as well they should be. The R's in Congress have exponentially exceeded even my expectations of spinelessness, vacillation, weakness and disingenuousness. They numbly confirmed truly talentless men and women, having absolutely no experience in the area of expertise they're now expected to lead. Healthcare, Defense, all of the portfolios are in the hands of talentless fools who only know how to stick their collective tongues up a foolish failure's hole. And, only now are their constituents smelling the coffee - deriding them publicly and viciously at their "town hall" meetings. And why? What used to be a respected political party, with a clear agenda, has become nothing but a completely self-centered collection of wilted, pussified cowards, caring for not one shred of anything other then their own worthless behinds. I've never been one, but I wouldn't blame a republikan for denying their affiliation. Might as well add outright lying to the rest of their filth. They've sold what passes for their souls already, and it didn't even fetch that much of a price. 3

It has amazed me. Just read this article where Swalwell says Republicans are terrified of crossing Trump. nanana Posted February 28 Author Report Posted February 28 Dallas Pozzible writes of the loss of credibility. What of the loss of credibility of the EU, of the suicidal joke that is Germany (I think The Vatican should annex Laboratory), the clown-states of Israel and Ukraine fomenting death, pussy-boy-and-pederast-couple-macrons? Exactly from whom is credibility bestowed? Continuity of Bush-Obama policies? (Personally I wish Trump could find a less in-your-face style, but it’s a good test of true friends to see if they are too fragile to be manly when a manly ally is required.) Also, you SILLY bitches stop taking his playfulness at face value. He breaks too many REAL eggs for you to be distracted by his posturing and repositioning. (I’m worried about enough of what he’s doing to waste time on taking his Netanyahu-bait at face value. ) 1 2
hntnhole Posted February 28 Report Posted February 28 20 hours ago, DallasPozzible said: terrified of crossing Trump Well, they've had a sip of the cool-aid, and not much more can be expected of them. On the other hand, President of Ukraine, Mr. Zelenskyy, sat down with His Faded Orangeness, and that other bearded blunder, for a discussion about their valuable dirt and our guarantees of assistance as the little-boy-to-the-north's war drags (literally) on and on and on. We, the citizens of the US, were completely disgraced by the performance of our elected leadership - both President and Vice President, as both of them insulted the President of Ukraine over and over and over again. This time, Macron wasn't there to gently touch Orangie's arm (to get him to shut his hole) and explain quietly what the actual situation was. It was a truly embarrassing demonstration of grade-school-class bullying put on by our President & Veep. 4 1
PozBearWI Posted February 28 Report Posted February 28 Anyone who has actually worked the life of a manager; and has had success doing so, knows that firing is an indication of our failure as a coach, not a measure of strength. He demonstrated himself ONLY as a bully today, and demonstrated how is absolutely sucks as a negotiator. 3
