Death of Porn cinemas?

I'm a 27 yo guy with a particular love for cruising in seedy sex cinemas, cruising bars etc. Picture low light, porn screens, gloryholes and the permanent smell of cum and poppers. Whenever I'm there, I'm frequently one of the youngest guys in the place often by a decade or two. And when i suggest to younger fuckbuddies, or guys on the apps to meet there as a convenient place I often get the response of "no, that's gross". Do younger guys not see the attraction of these places which have always been a part of gay sex? I've even encountered this attitude amongst guys who are into quite piggy play (anon stuff, piss, group, chems etc.). 

 

Have you guys seen the same? Are there any other young guys here with a love of seedy cinemas?

None of these exist where I live. I think all the ABS, bathhouses and sexy cinemas closed back in the 1990s and none have reopened.  There are a couple of straight strip clubs in the city and gay go-go dancers can strip to near naked in gay bars but they are in glass booths so there is no physical contact. This is all I've ever known; so when I hear about ABS and sleazy cinemas it's like a fantasy to me.

Welll ... no - there are a number of "seed-y" bars/baths/fuckjoints around here, and they all seem to be doing great (except RR).  

Business always picks up this time of year, when the snowbirds fly South for the winter, so there's a notable increase in traffic, but that's always the case.  It's most noticeable just after Thanksgiving.

I can’t remember the last time I went to a porn cinema. Must have been in the 90s. They were a crucial outlet when I was in undergrad. Portland has lost all of its true porn cinemas, there is still a huge number of ABS establishments that have a small theater, as well as at least one bar that allows cruising, and 2 bathhouses. The problem here, despite the fact that the sexual activity in such places is legal, is very few of any age group is willing to act, and those that do get severely slut shamed. I will give the youngest generation some credit for being slightly less repressed, but am not sure they can stand up to the enormous local cultural pressure to keep any and all penetrative sex acts completely repressed. 

If you like sexual costumes, role play and acting out kinks as long as they do not involve penetration or even having to touch a dick, this is your city.

There used to be one I went to kinda several several years ago. It felt like it was out of place even several years ago like it was from a different era. The door person was pretty cool and liked me so he let me in sometimes without paying. I was more of a young twink back then too though. I believe one side of the theatre had gay/bi porn and the other straight porn. There was a bathroom too. I remember being in the seats sometimes sucking a guy or getting fucked by guys. I also remember someone who I randomly ran into at public play spaces was there once too and he fucked me. But I remember lots of guys being around cruising on both sides of the cinema. I usually always had some kind of fun whether it was fucking or sucking. Even the parking lot was cruisy too. Sadly it's apparently been closed for a while. I do miss it the more I think about it. It had a different vibe and atmosphere compared to book stores/bath houses.

I used to love sleazy sex theaters when I was your age.  In grad school, I lived within walking distance to one.  It saved my sanity!
